It's very doubtful it'll be even close to GC power.

won't stop photoshopped mock-ups of it playing Wind waker though (which happens every time a new Nintendo handheld is rumoured/announced ;)

They'll never release the "finished" version of Wind Waker.

    This one?

Your man works of Microsoft now, IIRC.
That really rocked tbh. Clever guy.

Eh, surely it can't be 3D on both screens, just the top one. It would be real awkward trying to touch something in 3D.
This has been bugging me a little.
How will interacting with a 3D image via a flat touchscreen interface work? Surely there will be some sort of mental disconnect as your finger/stylus either 'goes through' or stops short of the thingy you are trying to interact with?
They could have a mini wiimote for use as a stylus that a camera could use for tracking ala PS3 Move.

    Imagine that.
As if playing touchscreen stuff on the bus/train wasnt fraught with external factors trying to mess you up already, now you get to do it with nothing to rest against. :D

Well perhaps. It could work, though I tend to think that any handheald device needs to allow the user to be fairly 'contailed within themselves' (think the whole blow-into-the-mic thing and why everyone hates it).
If you constantly look like Harry Potter attempting to abracadabra his DS while on the London Underground, that could make you a litte self conscious.

    Us Brits are terribly reserved.

Would like to see them get the device design right first time.

Fuck me ... Nintendo might just show something interesting at E3 .... is the world coming to an end or something? That's akin to pigs flying (almost)

Now Nintendo are travelling back through time to put the latest fads in their last generation of hardware? Maybe the NES controllers had waggle built in but they just never bothered to use it?

I'm def happy about the rumoured analogue stick, making all GC titles available for download at a reasonable price would be the mutt's nuts...
    This!

I would love the DSi so much more if they just stuck the back catalogue on to it (obviously before the N64).

Some gems in a quagmire of pure shite? Last years E3 from them was as awful as the year before and the year before.

If you smoke your PSP with some tobacco it gets you properly stoned. Fuck knows what they put in that thing. Guess that explains the sales in Japan.

I sense lot of insecurity in this John Koller person.

Hang on, this isn't 3D of any type at all though, is it?

    Beautiful tender beings.

Either that or they should have just given us a proper controller to begin with that worked with all current and GC titles. Not this shit of having to have a GC controller. Would that have been too fucking hard? Muppets. Classic controller is a complete joke. The entire GC catalog is already available it's just a pain in the arse to A) get hold of them B) find the controller.
Rant aside if they did make the GC catalog available for download it would make me quite happy. Where to put it though?

Twin sinkable analogue controllers would be on my wishlist.

Give yourself 5 or gig, you're worth it.

I would expect it to be quite a bit more powerful than the PSP, but it probably won't be able to match the inevitable PSP2.

Btw, why all the fuss about a 'finished' Wind Waker? The game was finished and released seven years ago. It's not exactly the only game ever to have content cut out at the last minute.

I very much doubt that is going to happen. Not with this console. I'll be happy to eat my words, though. :)

If people are expecting Jaws 19 style effects or even any kind of solid-looking objects from it then they're going to be sorely disappointed. Think more along the lines of cardboard cutouts placed at slightly different depths within the screen.
