Sorry, don't know how to link to specific time points in youtube vids. The music occurs at 1:24:03 (episode intro, when Clarkson's licking the air) and at 2:07:15 (the Blackbird segment).

    Any help much appreciated.

doh! Didn't even the link the video :/

I have no idea, but why don't you try downloading the Shazam app onto your phone, then see if it'll detect if for you if you play it via speakers?

Only issue might be if the clip is too short - Shazam needs about 10 seconds of music to work, iirc

Or just dial 2480 from any Mobile and it will do the same - and if it can't you won't be charged.

I tried doing it on my SE phone using a similar app, but their server appeared to be down last night.

Cheers, I'll look into these apps. Only problem is the clip of music is quite short.

Add #t=1h24m to the end of the link, with your own timings of course.

    So your link is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L81OlGR4E2k#t=1h24m

Has that vid cut out the credits sequence then? Would it list any music they used there or is it only in films they have to do that?

    This signature intentionally left blank.

Only films I think (there's a whole forum dedicated to finding out the music used in Top Gear for example).

    *BUMP*

Went to my daughter's ballet show last night. One part of the show had a group of the girls dancing to a very melancholy piece of piano music which I believe to be quite contemporary and may have featured in a film. It is only piano - no other instruments/voice.

NO MORE CLUES - I'm afraid that's as detailed as it's going to get! Any help finding it would be appreciated.

Sound like it could be something by Ludovico Einaudi. Maybe.

@billythekid Einaudi definitely sounds right - just a case of narrowing it down to the right track now! Beautiful stuff...

More than likely to be something from the This is England soundtrack I'd wager.

    Got it! \o/

I had an epiphany! And... It's not Einaudi. Although I'll be buying some of his stuff later :-)

Murbs, unrelated but were you allowed to take cameras into the show?

Give yourself 5 or gig, you're worth it.

No flash photography/video cameras. They'll be selling an 'official' dvd of the night at some point though.

On that side of things, I've never had any trouble with cameras at sports day, Christmas plays etc. We're a small village school though so may make a difference.
