Registered 5 years agoSorry jono. Going to try to finish spartan ops so i can sell halo 4. Too much stuff going to be bought soon, or on the pile to justify keeping it now.
I still haven't finished borderlands 2 first bit of dlc and #3 is out soon! -

Registered 4 years agoI'm pretty much out for the year fellas. Pleasure ranking up with you and hope to have many more game sessions in 2013.
Can remember the first time I signed up for a Gears 2 Horde session (save me brothers!) and can't believe we've since hit the beta, release and seen BFG conquer Gears3.

Registered 3 years agoHave been playing some MP with randoms over the past few days, and as usual, the problem is everyone is far too good for me!
Will have to try and find a time of day with similarly bad players to me I think, or more likely stick to Horde / Beast in future...
Still haven't touched the main campaign. Does anyone have any thoughts on Raam's Shadow? Are there any spoilers if I play it now before starting the main campaign? What's the difference between 'standard' and 'arcade' modes? -

Registered 5 years agoRaam's shadow is completely separate as it takes place on e-day, so no spoilers there.
Arcade mode is more for co-op or once you've completed the game since you can add in modifiers like infinite ammo, instagib, laugh track etc if you have unlocked them by completing the game, or various challenges. It also has a score multiplier.
Playing multiplayer in an organised team will help a bit rob, but it's mostly only the hardcore and very good players left now. And me- I'm not good, I just play for a laugh and some chat with the great EG folks. -

Registered 3 years agothanks, when I feel I've done well if I get a 0.3 K/D ratio, it's probably time to leave versus to the hardcore types! I'll keep an eye on the thread and get into some EG games in the New Year.
Might just try to fit in Raam's Shadow before Christmas in that case I think. I've maybe 2-3 evenings of gaming left before heading off for a few days, so a 3-4 hour mini campaign will do nicely in between trying to beat the boss level I'm stuck on in Rayman! -

I may be playing borderlands 2 tomorrow to try to finish the first dlc, but I'm sure I could be persuaded to change my mind if an invite arrived! -

Are we still thinking of some Gears tonight ?
If so I will try and get on, but I think it is going to be after 22:00 for an hour or so if I do manage it. I have been playing loads (and I mean nothing but) Gears 2 lately, getting some nice cheveos now as well. As a Gearhead I did not like the 200 odd gamer-points looking back at me, at the start of the year!
If I don't get on, can I just say Happy Christmas and a truly wonderful 2013 to you fine chaps.
I have enjoyed each and every time I have played online with you guys. Gears still remains the only time I bother turning my headset on for chats. Even if I don't manage to get on, due to being a night time lightweight it is the one constant thread (well that and Gears 2 and Judgment
) I bother to read and check.
GOWJ can't come quick enough, so we can all get on it again.

Registered 5 years agoI should be on with luck. Maybe 10:30-11ish though. Unless the boy is not sleeping again. He was still up at 10 last night and kept sneaking downstairs.
Hope that doesn't happen tonight, but I reckon there's a *very* high likelihood of a repeat on xmas eve of all nights..gif)
Just in case I don't make it on tonight, I hope Santa is good to you all, have a great xmas and hopefully chat soon over the holidays. -

If I'm not on them Merry Christmas to you all you've all def made gears a more enjoyable experience and I hope we can get many a great game organised even before J comes out. -

Mayhem was possibly going for it until he got reset.
I think pretty much everyone else has realised it's not too likely.
I never had any likelihood of getting it ever. If 2.0 was too much grinding for me, then this was a whole other order. -

Registered 9 years agoDecided to play G3 yesterday (to see if the Horde had Xmas hats on...they didn't) after about 6 weeks of soldily playing Gears2.
Back to 3, I had forgotten how many quiting tossers play it. I started 3 games of Horde, which took an age to match in the first place, when I did get the games, I was left on my own twice and there were 3 of us on the third game...before any of the games got to wav 6!
Killed any desire I had to play the game stone dead...and this is GEARS!
Lesson learnt, only play with EG chums from now on. I will play Gears 2 to get my Horde kicks, a lot more healthy albeit smaller fanbase still playing.
Prob best I didn't get stuck it, I really need to get playing some of the tens of games I have not even opened, or left unplayed since Gears 3 was released, until March at any rate "Duffman is thrusting in the direction of the problem! Oh, yeah!"
