    The Silent Hill HD collection got poor reviews and criticism for being sloppy. Just how bad a job of things did they do? Were they ever patched? Is it worth picking up if seen cheap enough?

    Silent Hill 2 ranks as one of my favourite games ever, I got all endings on PS2 and Xbox. I only played through Silent Hill 3 once though. I can put up with ugly to an extent but not broken. I still have an urge to play Silent Hill 2 again.

    @Doomspoon Both games were ported from unfinished code. On top of that, they tampered with the voices, sounds and music. Have a look at this in-depth review & analysis to get an idea of the damage:

    According to EG's autocorrect, only the former exists... but the latter - according to several internet sources - is also acceptable (albeit with a more theological connotation - that is, giving God human attributes, as the Old Testament does).
    I've only ever heard Anthropomorphic, as in anthropomorphic personification e.g. the tooth fairy. But dictionary.com seems to agree with you!

    @-cerberus- Hmm, I might just make do with the fond memories or see if I can track it down on PC.

    Sounds like someone getting mixed with "anthropological" (that is, the study of anthropology, and "anthropomorphic" (a description of a morphology containing elements of humanity). I suppose by derivation 'anthropomorphological' would make sense as the study of anthropomorphology, in an Abrahamic god discussion though.

    Indeed, according to wiktionary, 'anthropomorphology' is strictly limited to discussing human characteristics in God, and by definition, that pretty much limits it to the christian, jewish and muslim faiths IAUI. In my understanding, discussing human-like characteristics of the higher power in hinduism or buddhism is considered a logical fallacy. In buddhidm while the buddha was a man, he is merely the first man to acheive nirvana, and nirvana is not a concept generally describable in human language.

    @drhcnip I know these games by heart; dialogues, sounds, music, everything. Everything about this pseudo-HD Collection is an absolute insult. It's like two of the greatest songs ever written were being played by the crappiest cover band in the world.

    A police officer has just said to me that the only way a car is causing an obstruction is if it is in the way of an emergency/police vehicle. I thought it was all road users. Can anyone clarify this at all?

    Does anyone know why the price per gb of a drive goes down the more gb a drive has?

    Apart from the obvious economies of scale.

    Why are professional poker players allowed to wear dark sunglasses? Not only does it look absolutely ridiculous, but it gives the player advantages in that other players might not be able to see some of their tells.

    Would someone in full headgear be allowed to play?

    Glasses = 'look cool'.

    ... I suppose it is because they have a poor 'poker face' without wearing a pair of sunglasses.

    Do feel that it is a tiny little bit cheaty at the same time too.

    I just moved house, we got sky broadband just because the old guy had sky and I did not want the ballache of getting a new provider that could take months. We did not get sky TV, as we are pikeys.

    We are hoping that my Xbox will still be able to use the sky app to get Sky TV like we had at our old place, despite moving from the house that the sky is booked to (person from last house is keeping sky subscription, is happy for us to keep using service). But the digibox we bought for terrestrial channels is pony, only getting half the channels in the flat. I find this confusing as it gets perfect film4+1 for example but won't pick up Film4. So:

    1) Will I still be aple to use the Sky app on my Xbox despite moving house? Does anyone do this? (to be clear broadband due to be switched on in a few days, that's why I couldn't test it).

    2) Do you think the digibox is broken/poor quality or does the flat just have a bad aerial connection I can't do anything about?

    Advice please.

    You should be fine with the sky app. We use the mother-in-law's sky account on my xbox

    The world is going mad. Me? I'm doing fine.

    @Rusty_M.

    Cheers mate. That will be perfect, I can always watch the catchupTV on the ipad if I need something terrestrial. Was worried I'd have nothing (good) to watch on the living room TV.

    Just bang her and if she ever asks to be in a relationship, can't you just explain to her that you didn't think it was going that way? Or would that not work?

    edit: My Get Games Batman: Arkham City GOTY (GFWL)key wouldn't work on Steam. I contacted support and sent some screenshots of Steam not liking the code and they added another Steam version to my account.

    Which was nice.

    What is the benefit of sealant over grout?

    More flexible. Pliable. Which means you don't need it where flexibility is not an issue.

    Also grout isn't waterproof, it just acts as a barrier to the effects of water. Whereas sealant is.

    While I'm sure you are right it's weird that all the sealant in my bathroom seems to end up with mould on it. I'm guessing that's because there is often standing water on it. So, grout isn't waterproof but will stop the water leaking through, so, it's adequate for going around the bath?

    You are a factory of sadness.
