|The most powerful Captain of them all.|

Apparantly Hugo Weaving has been offered Red Skull. Great choice IMO. Font know if it's true, read on IGN. |
And yeah, Chris Evans wouldn't be my first choice either.
Meh, Evans is ok, was good in Sunshine, a little bit better than some male model with no presence (see: most of their choices).
I can't think of who would have picked, the most interesting one up for the role was Jon Kraziniski (Jim from the office) as a more daring pick.
The Marvel films always have the "off-the-wall" casting option, like Kevin McKidd who was optioned for Thor until they went with the generic long haired pretty boy.
The guy from Sons of Anarchy should be Thor. It's so obvious.
Chris Evans isn't too bad, at least he can act and is reasonably likeable despite what was seen in Fantastic Four. I would've preferred a slightly older actor but as they will age over time anyway and it is for quite a few films then I'm sure he'll make it eventually.|
Joe Johnson is a bigger concern.
It's official, he's accepted. If he can bring the same leadership quality and serious tone he delivered in Sunshine, he'll be good.|
Joe Johnstone is a bit of a hack though. Apart from the Rocketeer, there's nothing in his film career that's anything more than average.
I forgot he was in Sunshine. He was great in that. |
After seeing the abortion that was The Wolfman I'm starting to agree that Joe Johnson may be trying to bite off more than he can chew
|Meh I have as much intrest in this as I did for GI JOE|
The strange thing is I hold The Dragon Age series up as example of diversity and choice, the fact that the brothels in DA service everybody, male/female with multiple options, to remove the brothels is a step backwards for diversity IMO
GI Joe was awesome. Perfect summer over the top nonsense movie. I loved it. |
Really can't wait for this though, mainly being a total Marvel fanboy. Wonder if they'll set it up for the Winter Soldier plotline in the sequel.
Hugo Weaving has been cast as the Red Skull. Awesome!|
Great choice imo. Really looking forward to this.
Just finished that one. Never usually read comics but Ultimates got recommend on here somewhere, so I decided to take a look.
Really cool! Anymore stuff out there that's kinda like that? (I heard Ultimates Vol. 3 was crap).
|Cool, like the WW2 one from the Ultimate's.|
That's straight out of The Ultimates. The WW2 scenes at the beginning have him wearing a costume just like it.|
Really cool! Anymore stuff out there that's kinda like that?
I've heard Ultimates vol 3 is rubbish too, will get round to it eventually. Worth reading other Ultimates books like Ultimate Galactus and Ultimate Power, Ultimate Vision is also okay.
It's not quite the same, but Ultimate Spider-man is excellent and Ultimate X-Men is mostly good.
If it's general big superhero stuff you're after try Supreme Power and The Authority, for starters.
|They've fucked up the A on his head and gayed it up with incidental details, the red pockets are cunty. Needs more nipples and a codpiece.|
Filming the 1940's stuff in the Northern Quarter in Manchester for this (it doubles as New York a fair bit in other films), Bruce Willis is having a brew in Cup there now...|
...didn't know he was in it.
Might pop down later and be nosey.
Chris evans is just dreamy!|
Are they really going to have Arnim Zola? Crazy, are there any designs or pics up?
The stunt double guy looks like he's made of wax. Chubby cheeks. |
Yeah Zola is in it, Toby someone is playing him, it's mentioned in this thread. Just his head I'd imagine. No pics yet!
I like Evans. Was a bit strange after him playing Johnny Storm, but I think it'll be fine. |
Ryan Reynolds seems to be playing a bunch of superheros now too.
|Should actors only ever play one character? Might not work so well as a career choice like that...|
|Yeah but it's not like his two characters have any chance of appearing in each other's films, or even being mentioned. Fox and Marvel each own a different film property.|
