    Disable CPU access
    Disable Fog
    Enable OpenCL

These are the main ones, different games require different settings though. Some cards are better with OpenGL than DirectX too.

What games are you trying to run?

Often the JITIL Recompiler gives me a 10 -15fps boost.

Epic Mickey (around 30fps - JITIL - playable, weird pre rendered video artifacts)

SMG2 (50 - 60fps - JITIL, CPU Access needs to be on to interact with the pointer and the background - playable for sure but music cuts out so poo really)

DKCR (solid 60fps runs flawlessly - JITIL essential again ime, Sonic and the knight hack turned on fixes some weird lighting issues)

Metroid: Other M (Solid 50 - 60fps - JIT recompiler works much better here, Metroid:other M Hack req'd tho should be on by default)

Kirby's Epic Yarrrrrrrrrrrn (I'm bold sorry)
Runs flawlessly as well, is cute as all hell. but you'd expect that as its a 2D game.

All in 720p with 4x AA

    Spec:

    i5 750
    4GB Ram
    Radeon 4890
  • Deleted user 13 January 2011 16:13:57
All those run full speed for me on the OSX build, may give JITIL a go for DKCR though as it has a few frame drops.

    i5 760 @ Stock
    4GB Ram
    5770

    Speedstep & Turboboost enabled.

    GC Games generally run perfectly;

Soul Calibur 2 - Needs JITIL or will not boot
    Super Mario Sunshine - Perfect
    Wind Waker - Perfect
    Resident Evil - Perfect
    F-Zero - Won't boot
Rogue Squadron - Won't boot, likely to never boot either.

I no longer own a copy of Rogue squadron but out of interest, for what reason will it not or is never likely to boot?
  • Deleted user 13 January 2011 16:43:13
Dev magic, would most likely need an LLE emulator which won't happen for fucking ages.

That was a fucking impressive looking game, granted I may be looking through some rose tinted specs but I'd imagine that it holds up even today.
  • Deleted user 13 January 2011 17:33:24
Yup, looks ace, was playing it yesterday.

I get a shit load of errors using the JTIL experimental and it seems much slower :(

Thats why I stayed away from using it for so long, as loads of places said that it was experimental and unstable but once I turned it on i got some massive frame boosts in the games mentioned.

Also I am using D3D now so that could be the diffference in our respective experiences.
It does make Other M run like dog turd for me too. Have to evaluate on a game by game basis.

The errors on boot can also be stopped as they're largely meaningless.

Just uncheck the panic handlers in dolphin config.

Yeah, I wouldn't go binning my Wii, been playing Tatsunoko vs Capcom, works fucking lovely.

Still can't get synced frames, although that could be an OSX issue.

Hmmm, gimme 10 minutes and I'll rip it.
  • Deleted user 13 January 2011 19:16:44
Ripping, 15 minutes to go though, would be nice to play it with pad controls again.
  • Deleted user 13 January 2011 22:15:03
Impossible to control without a sensor bar, runs nice though!!

Do you not have the sensor bar working with dolphin?

I just turn on my Wii and use the sensor bar attached to it, works flawlessly.
  • Deleted user 14 January 2011 09:01:25
Yeah, my Wii is in a different room though.

You can get a wireless one for around a tenner

That could be handy actually, as I hate turning on or off my Wii just for that because sometimes it can cause controller syncing issues as a result.

Anyone have any tips to get this working? I'm getting the 'cant init any pad plugins/core' error messages.

I've been on the forums reading the FAQ and tutorials but their suggested fixes aren't working. I updated DirectX Runtime, installed the latest Virtual C++ Runtime but I still get the same error messages. Anyone here have a similar problem when they installed it?

Edit: Nevermind got it :) I seem to be doing that too much around here recently...

As far back as I can remember I always wanted to be a ninja.

Runs fine for me, to call it shit is pretty cuntish

@futaba, update your directx on winblows or try the opengl plugin

    I agree.

    Absolutely.

But it's still not good enough. That's all I'm saying.

It IS "good enough" for plenty of games. Being able to run current-gen games and render them in HD at full speed is fantastic. Don't be an arsehole.

Depends what game; I connected a Wii controller to my 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo PC running Windows 7 and it was pretty awesome. *I think Timotei either configed it like a mong or is just a cock*

    I'm a grumpy bastard.
