    Trailer looked......interesting.

The tone seemed a bit darker and moodier than i was expecting, but you can see the quality the movie has already. Early observations are :

    - Cavill looks spot on
    - Hilarious that they've made Zod look like Ra's al Ghul
    - CGI looks great
    - Amy Adams looks like Cavills mother

    8/10

Superman doesn't wear glasses? The only person that wears glasses is that nerdy guy who works at the Daily Planet.

    Get bent.

I've watched the new trailer twice, and my reaction has been the same both times: "It looks utter dogshit!"

Who the fuck wants a dark and moody Superman film? I want action, spectacle, light-heartedness, John Williams' score and Clark Kent awkwardly bumbling about. What I don't want is an emo- Superman, brooding music, muted colour palette and Russell fucking Crowe.

If this is anything other than a complete car crash I'll be amazed.

True, i've really enjoyed his previous work though to be fair. Dawn of the Dead, 300 and Watchmen were all excellent films IMO.

However, the less said about Sucker Punch, the better........

All his work is fine, but always feels a bit vacuous.

    Get bent.

True, but i think thats more down to the writing than his direction - at least with this one, Nolan and Goyer have got the writing credits.

Ok then, "Hans Zimmer emotional turmoil music score style"....I was glad the second half of the trailer had a more "godly" score to it. Seems more fitting

Sorry I didn't realise this thread was for positive comments only.

To be fair, i think it was Goyers direction that ruined that - he can write, but he cant direct a movie for shit.

I stopped watching when Jessica Biel put her iPod in to kill vampires

Say that to his face. I double dare you.

It doesn't look dark and moody in the slightest to me. It looks like it has a certain sincere and earnest tone it to some degree (as did Donner's original) but there's nothing dark and moody there.

    He did write it too.

I know he's done some good work but its like a little voice in the back of my mind saying..."Remember Trinity...it sucked donkey cock!"

My main thought after watching the trailer was how does Superman shave? Presumably his whiskers are super strength so what can he shave with? Does he have retractable whiskers? Does he set up some sort of mirror type arrangement and use his laser eyes? Which lead me to the question of can his laser eyes actually damage himself?

So my take away thoughts from the trailer mainly revolve around super strength whiskers. Possibly the trailer has failed for me.

In the comics they show him shaving using a mirror to reflect his lazer vision onto his face.

So many other question that could be asked about Superman's ability to live a normal life on earth...and yet it always boils down to whether or not he can shit and shave.
