I'm not aware that it's been confirmed for UK cinemas and can't find any confirmations apart from those in the US.

I just watched it again. Still makes me want to watch the film and think it might be brilliant.

Thats the power of John Williams. If you mute it, it looks almost like a gus van sant style remake of the original.

But, yeah, it was pant shittingly great when it came out.

Well there's the official teaser (a cam job, but not bad quality) should any of you not have it attached to TDKR later.
As a few posters online have said, I'm not actually sure when Snyder transformed into Terrence Malick, but hey, it shows he does have a different side to shooting a film, so I'm all for it.

It's not really giving away much at the moment, and any of you expecting an action packed link up there are going to be dissapointed. :)
But I'm sure the Dec one will be more 'full on'.

I quite enjoyed Superman Returns. Does that make me a bad person?

It wasn't a bad film, it just lacked character and excitement. Needed more Nick Cage.

Just rewatched the Returns one, and yeah it's that stonking William's soundtrack, and Brando voiceover, that bring on the geeky goosebumps, more so than any of the imagery on display.
Which of course was the film's biggest problem, it just wasn't it's own movie, more a love letter to the Donner [strike]originals[/strike] original.

Good teaser, it's a lot shorter than the Comic-Con trailer, loads of stuff missing from that.

Technically Donner only did the first film.

I know it's only a teaser but it does seem a bit navel-gazing.

My hope is that the film at least retains an element of lightness, and doesn't go all po-faced like a certain other franchise opening today.

    Also, needs more John Williams.

When you can't see the angles on the wall you're in trouble.

Looks great btw. Really does look like Malick in style. Couple of those shots could be lifted directly from Tree of Life.

My worry was not so much that it would be po-faced as dark and moody, and it doesn't seem that way at all. Seems to have a really nice tone, although again, it's just a teaser.

I won't start my countdown just yet, but I'm getting excited now.

Kal, you should find Terrence Malick, somewhere, somehow.

    And BUM HIM.

Worry not folks, the 'Man of Steel' teaser starts just before The Dark Knight Rises begins ...

It's a decent teaser, not really mind-blowing. Those "Malick" like shots...

I dunno, if you film a butterfly from a low-angle, fields of grass waving majestically in slow-mo, that's considered "Malick" like, I'm not that sure what's so special here.

Another thing that irks me a little, young Clark is seen wearing a red sheet and posing like Superman. If Superman doesn't exist yet, who is he emulating?

How do you know it was Clark? Maybe he saw his real father wearing one.

I'm just not sure why it would irk you. Maybe he's not trying to emulate anything, maybe he's just playing around as a kid. But on the subject of emulation, the hands on hips pose of Superman was taken from body building and statues of Greek gods. The cape could also very happily come from Greek mythology, Hercules had one from his Twelve Tasks. That's not to mention all the pulp fiction heroes who dressed up in capes and whatnot. Could be emulating literally dozens of things.

I reckon he's a big James Brown fan.
