It's the combo of all 3 trailers that give me high hopes for this.

This thing in the trailer about then joining Superman and "soon you will help them and accomplish wonders". It seems as though some people think this is a reference to the J.L.A.? Not convinced myself though.

The Resident Evil films. I'm one of the reasons they keep making them.

Also that score sounds like it could be awesome too.

Hmmm think we might need some hype brakes here!

Fwiw, I really like JFK. Costner has a habit of being the worst thing in some decent films.

You think that accent's bad, check out 13 Days (another great film, which also proves your 'worst thing in good films' point).

My m-i-l is a *big* Costner fan and made us watch message in a bottle when we went over once. Genuinely one of the worst films Ive ever seen.

I think he's better in Westerns. I remember him being quite good in silverado, open range and hatfields and mccoys, even though the characters were all quite different from each other.

He's good when he doesn't try to be something else than he is: a big hayseed American lunk.

Tin Cup is a great one as well.

Interesting that nobody has mentioned the film he actually won an Oscar for.
  • Deleted user 17 April 2013 10:53:04
Oh, that's probably because he didn't...

He got one for Dances with Wolves, didn't he? Though I can't remember which he won. I know he was nominated for Best Actor & Director, but only won 1 of them. Probably Director now I think about it, given his performance in that is good but I don't feel it's Oscar worthy.

Especially as it was up against Goodfellas.

Still no sign of Daily Planet CK. It's good that they're keeping something back...for now.

    FILM/ACTING OPINIONS. Amazing.

Anyway, the scene I was referring to gave me goosebumps. And I like Costner.

It's quite an interesting snippet too. Zack Synder!
