    got this from LoveFilm earlier this week, just posted it back.......and bought it.

    I think its fantastic.

    The SP is great, story isn't bad so far. The gameplay mechanics are also excellent (sync shots are awesome). I'm also finding the tactical challenges and the "ghost" rating almost make it an arcade type experience to get a faultless run on a mission.

    All these comments about it being sub-HD really make no difference to the fact the game looks great. NPC models are a bit ropey mind but the explosions etc look fine. Special mention to the sound as well, i was playing the first escort section with Dolby HD 5.1 and almost shit myself. Great sound design.

    And then the MP, I havnt tried it yet but everything i have read makes it sound like this could become one of those EG reg games that develops a bit of a community. I also like the fact that there is alot of achievements based on MP, i know they dont matter to everyone, but i like them.

    How many EG'rs are around for MP on 360?

    Had a couple of hours MP earlier seeing as the servers are finally back up and, well, it was choppy as fuck. Markedly different from the first couple of days of playing- did the UbiCunts break out their Windows 95 server?

    And Ubisoft, after demanding I photograph the game and receipt and send it to them have just responded with "we can't give you a new code- take it back to the shop". It's their fucking game, they're the ONLY fucking people in a position to hand out more codes in order to replace their faulty ones.

    Great game, streak-of-shit service from Ubisoft.

    I've found the occasional bit of lag in multiplayer but I've not found it to be choppy, as a multiplayer experience I think it's way up there with some of the best, which considering this is a refresh of the Ghost Recon brand and effectively a new game is quite an achievement.

    It isn't perfect, but it's damn good fun once you get a feel for the game.

    I completely agree, fab game to play and a truck load better to look at (particularly with the lovely atmospherics) than you'd ever believe if you went by Eurogamer's review.

    But, the servers have been offline far too much at launch. As usual, a game company has taken the cheap route to handling the extra surge in the early days of a game and underspecced their hardware.

    Plus, customer support are utter BERKS, PRATS, NINNIES and FLIPPING RIGHT CHARLIES...

    I quite enjoy the multiplayer when you get a decent game going, but have to say I'm finding the SP campaign a pretty dull, tedious slog. Can't really bring myself to play more than a mission at a time. Each one is pretty much exactly the same thing, set in one of three colour palettes.

    The SP is okay, but in MP it's a different game, actually involves tactics.

    Had some really excellent games tonight and am having more success with the vanilla rifleman than the fancy pants other two.

    Can't figure out how you heal yourself though...if you can.

    I've healed myself a couple of times, but it seems really arbitrary if it'll do it or not. Mostly I'm dead instantly.

    Had lots of points on Engineer recently: park the UAV somewhere un obtrusive but overlooking a defence point. Every kill someone makes nets you a couple of hundred XP.

    Got every class to level ten now. Not sure who I prefer. Wish I could mix and match the guns though - use whatever with each class.

    A bit tired of inching my way through failure screens because of the "no alarms" sections in the SP. Up to the airport now. They're really overusing that shit.

    MP really misses the sprawling levels of the earlier games. Some of these levels actually encourage run and gun CoD-isms.

    Quite a good game, now the MP is coming together, but shockingly neglected compared to earlier iterations. Expect a price drop next week.

    Sigh. Swings and roundabouts. Another shite night of disconnections. Even Operation Raccoon City has better net code than this. Get your shit together, Ubi.

    Plus, not overly enamoured with the matchmaking. I'm now getting paired against people who seem dozens of levels higher than me. Ok, they have better gear, and I can get my head around invisible snipers... but who the fuck decided they should put exploding ammo in the game too?

    Back to scores of 400-1.

    The more I play, the less I find myself able to recommend this. Too many deathmatch heads ruining the objective modes... I guess the developer can shoulder the blame for having an achievement for getting ten kills without dying. Because that always brings out the best in the online fraternity.

    Unless more pals grab this, I can't see me persevering with it. I'm tempted to see what the GRAW 1 community is like instead.

    Think the Rooftop map for Guerrilla mode has just dropped in 'price'. Now available for 10 Uplay Units until the 10th of June.

    Basiacally a whole load of PS3 copies shipped with the region as Russia, so you may have problems connecting to some modes such as co-op and guerilla....If it's such a huge issue tho, I'm surprised that CVG, IGN etc haven't reported it.

    Just checked and I have an RU game then... I wonder whether that is why my signature edition code won't work- a problem the Ubicunts still refuse to help with incidentally.
    So, now I've a game with a load of bits I can't unlock AND the region code will stop me playing co-OP etc.

    I haven't bought a Ubisoft game for years, I'm just thrilled to find what a professional organisation they are these days.

    Fuck sake. Seem to have hit a game breaking glitch. Just finished the mission which ends with you under siege and calling down an airstrike on a tank. Get the successful end screen/campaign debrief. Seems to be saving, rolls on... to a black screen. Three times now, I can pause and get the pause menu, but nothing advances. Been watching it for five mins now, it just stops.

    Known glitch? I'm not reading through 125 pages of error reports on the main forum to hear that Ubi are "working on it".

    Disappointment of the year... even when it's working.

    I've recently starting playing this again after a brief hiatus and I have to say I'm finding it boring as hell.

    The shooting is way too 'sticky' and unsatisfying and although the run to next cover mechanic is cool I'd much rather have the ability to swap cover a la Gears since 2006.

    I haven't been able to join a game in online co-op with my brother because apparently one of us has DLC that the other doesn't, even though we're both playing the vanilla game and I've just encountered too many game breaking bugs for me to want to persevere with this. It's also far too unpolished, especially for a game that's seemingly had an extended gestation period.

    Not cool, being traded as soon as I can get to a shop.

    It plays so well (as someone who was bored with the CoD style several iterations ago) but, yes, it's flakey. I've never had a game hang my PS3 so much, must be up to about 5 complete lock-ups now.

    I like the style a lot, think the execution leaves a lot to be desired. I do still keep coming back to it though because I'm glad someone is doing a shooter with a more considered pace on the consoles- the single life decoy stand-offs are ace.

    Picked up cheap at Morrisons, seems it'll do during the drought of releases. No probs so far like yours mmc, bar juttering during the cutscenes.

    MP seems to be a spawncamp paradise on the downside, first match involved some loons with silenced m.pistols sauntering about shooting/melee killing with ease against our basepoint. And the second lobby. Gave up after the third.

    The new maps via the DLC are actually quite ace. Huge in scale and well thought out for multi layered hide and seek. The new weapons kick arse too- high firing rate and modifiable to tune out nearly all of the recoil.
    Now, if can just stop the fucking thing locking up and/or booting me out of games one time in ten with a "lost connection" message, I'll be one happy ghost reconning bunny.

    Try (in vain ?) to get some co-op going at the weekend then ? Had a wee taste of the Arctic Guerrilla map before work, and it looks lovely. Snow just makes everything better.

    I've nearly finished the single player campaign, I've had to do it a bit at a time- despite ticking all the action shooter boxes, it really is quite bland and uninspiring, nowhere near as good as the GRAW games. It would have been alot better if they had started it as a new franchise.

    Kind of debating whether or not I can be arsed to get into the mp, or whether to trade it.

    I'm enjoying the campaign tbh, need a dunce cap for not working out in the 'no alarm' sections it's a piece of piss to just scoot through without killing anyone.

    Previously I was trying to kill everybody which makes the game frigging difficult.

    It's not difficult to do the no alarm missions by killing everyone. Get to an area, use the drone, mark out groups of bad guys that are out of line of sight of other bad guys, get your squad to shoot them by pressing a single button, rinse and repeat.

    Infact I would have thought it would be harder to scoot through with the active camo because the bad guys will spot you if you get too close, and it's unavoidable in alot of places.

    Better than me I guess; I wasted ages on the section very near the end at night when you're alone and need to infiltrate a compound to place beacons.

    I pre-ordered this game cheap on a Sainsburys promotion and still feel I've wasted my money, the single player campaign was bland and forgettable and has left me with no desire to play MP. I haven't used the online code so hopefully will be able to sell it on easily.

    I did enjoy the MP but only for a short time as it starts to get a bit boring rather quickly. I'll be getting rid of my copy shortly.

    Still can't complete the fucking SP. Fades to a black screen at the end of a mission and just idles perpetually. Wondering if I'm the only one with this issue, as unlikely as it seems.
