The Ace 2 is out now isn't it? Looks like a cracking little phone.

She probably be better of with one of those rather than the Ace or Desire C.

The ace 2 is good. The HTC desire c doesn't have very good specs but i don't know how it actually performs. The huawei ascend g300 is a good phone. its got great specs for the price and seems to be the best "budget" android phone. In terms of hardware, i think the galaxy ace 2 has a dual core processor so that would be the best choice really. You could also look at sony xperia phones.

Well it was just the fact that the Ace or the Desire C came free that I was asking. Save a bit of money and go for a better phone then (ie the Ace 2 or Huawei one theguy mentioned)?

The ace 2 is better due to the dual core processor but it is likely more expensive. You could try having a look at both in a store or some other phones

Handwrite on Google seems pretty good. Has this just appeared today?

... even though typing is quicker, I find myself using the 'handwriting' style all the time now!

    Try drawing a heart shape ... : )

Anyway, Samsung has outed the (new) Galaxy Note II at IFA 2012 moments ago:

... and it looks very similar to a Galaxy S III albeit with a 5.5-inch screen and a pen!

Anything exciting on the horizon for Spring time next year?

I've been with my Galaxy S2 for a while now, love it, and I'm due for an upgrade around May. Toying with the idea of going sim-only unless there's something special around the corner?
Well, the Galaxy S4 will probably be out around that time...

Amazon have launched the App Store in the UK, finally. Free app every day, today's is Angry Birds. They also have access to some exclusives, like Jetpack Joyride (also free) that aren't available on the Google Play store

I don't think Android allows you to move any apps to a memory card.
  • Deleted user 30 August 2012 18:24:20
You've been able to move to SD since 2.2. If the app supports it.

Also, displaying an Asphalt game (or Gameloft game in general) is not the way to sell me a tablet ;-)

Ha! Just noticed it now, I normally do check in once or twice a day. Didn't see it pimped in here though.

Really like my existing Archos 7" and this still seems to carry forward the micro-SD and HDMI connectivity. Semi-interested, if they can keep the weight/thickness the same. For emulators, natch.

I was out with a few mates last night and one of them has got a S3. Bloody hell, it's impressive.

In all honesty, I hate my S2 but the S3 looks as though it shits all over it from a great height.

The Resident Evil films. I'm one of the reasons they keep making them.

Oh, didn't realise this, just assumed it was a limitation on the S3/Android in general.
