Well £25 would be even better

... then he has £100 to spend on apps.

Give yourself £5 or ½ gig, you're worth it.

Thanks for all the info. I don't want to try and haggle the price down when she's already selling it to me for well under what she knows it's really worth. Also I don't think the resolution will be much of an issue, lowish resolution have never bothered me unless it's pixels the size of lego. My main concern was whether its still a viable tablet and it seems it is, probably in no small part due to the specs on the original mini.

Edit: Saving extra and getting a mini isn't an option. I specifically want something with a large screen, otherwise I'd get a nexus 7.

Yeah, just buy the iPad 2 at that price. Resolution will be fine if you're not accustomed to higher, and outside the shiny shiny tech bubble (which I'm most certainly a member of fortunately/unfortunately), it's still a good tablet at that price. My only advice would be, late '14, when iOS8 arrives, if the 2 is compatible (probably very unlikely but you never know given how the mini 1 will only be 2 y/o) don't even consider updating unless you hear lots of testimonials that it runs fine on your model. A perfectly good, if dated, iOS device can be rendered a complete pita with an update too far.

£125 is a very good price. Like it's been said, they're going for more on eBay so definitely a good deal. Have a mess first and see if it's for you.

    Oh. For. Fucks. Sake.

... never in all my time has Safari crashed so many times in one session, or decided to refresh an entire page when I switched to the other (and only) tab.

Update this piece of shit please, Apple.

Has anyone tried one of these or anything similar to share transfer/stream video to an Ipad?

Had a black iPad (the first one) then got a white Retina iPad (the third one) and when you watch films and TV shows in the dark, the white bezels are surprisingly off-putting and doesn't feel flushed with the design ethos therefore when I picked up my iPad Air, it was an easy decision to go for the 'space grey' model.

... the white looks garish in direct sunlight too, almost yellow.

Unless you rarely buy many apps or have a small music collection, go for the 32GB model because the 16GB only offers you a shy over twelve gigabytes of the remaining memory and you'll no sooner wish you had doubled the memory!

32Gb when Tesco were doing £30 off.

White goes well with the backing, making the thing overall more sleek. Also matches my iPhone white.

Not at all. I have a shit ton of apps and movies. I'm not sure 128Gb will be big enough to be honest.

I thought I'd watch TV and movies on my iPad. Turns out I rarely do that at all, except if I'm going on a long plane or train journey. Otherwise I keep those space-devouring videos off my iPad as I'll never watch them on it, and instead use it to play a bit of Netflix as background noise while I'm using my computer full-screen for something.

    Great story, bro, etc.

I have decided to wait for a black one, because I think Charlie might be right about the white border distracting me whilst watching movies.

I do use my mini to watch movies mainly because my laptop screen is too small to watch movies and serf the web and other stuff at the same time.

I've never understood why anyone thinks the white iPhones or iPads look good. I mean I understand the concept of 'opinions' and 'tastes' but it seems clear to me that everyone who opts for white is just fucking stupid.

I like the white because I like white objects generally. I think the white front works well with the silver sides and back, and works better than the black/blue version.

I disagree in the strongest possible way.

White, indeed. Apart from anything else white is a terrible border. Black just makes things POP, yo.
