Guh. Someone needs to stop him re-re-reraping his own franchises.

I wonder if he is hinting at remaking the films using the motion cap technology rather then redoing the originals so they are in 3D.

Isn't this just what we want though?

Every major film we've ever loved, comes back better than before, IN 3D!!!!!!

Every landmark game, comes back better than before, IN 3D!!!!!

Every penny we've ever spent on entertainment comes back, IN 3D!!!!!!

Plus, we get to pay at least one third extra. Again! Because it's IN 3D!!!!!

    We're so lucky.

The only benefit I can think of is that I'll get to see the original trilogy in the cinema again. I'd love to see more classics on the big screen. I got to see the Alien re-release, and that was awesome because it was well before my time when it first came out. If film studios do start milking their classics, at least there's a silver lining.

Ugh no thanks, what i want is new movies specifically made for 3D not having 3D shoe-horned back into everything.

Lets face it, those 3 films are the only decent films he's ever made so no wonder he wants to revisit them.

(Indy films not counted - I thank Spielberg for them)

His directing is better than his writing, that's for sure.

He is, however, an era defining story-teller.

You know he only directed the first of the OT. Right? :)

By all accounts he was the real director of Jedi too.

Apparently he actually directed most of Jedi as the dude they hired was way out of his element.

Also, folk shouldn't forget that Indy is Lucas' creation. Sure, the movies were collaborative efforts but much of the credit must be given to walrus neck.
