I've just tried logging into the store and I'm getting "This service is not available in your country/region.". Anybody else had the same problem? I'm a bit worried 'cos my machine is a replacement 60GB, but isn't from a UK batch of serial numbers.

Maintenance. You should be able to log in in a short while. You will get booted off at 21:00 tonight when they reboot the servers.

Would be nice if Sony could arrange some sort of notice through PSN as opposed to having people franticly posting wildly on gaming forums, wouldn't it?

I got onto the Vita store, but the download speed was ridiculously slow. PS3 store was still not working when I went to bed.

I tried XBL and that was fine.

If you guys aren't having problems, what could be the issue on my side that could be affecting PSN only?

So eventually I figured out that XBL isn't working properly for me either. It logs on, throws up an error message about not all content being available. I log out and try again, and it usually works, but is very finicky. 90% of the time, when I click on the game marketplace, it loops back to the main screen. I can search for games and get to their page and downloads seem to work. Adverts don't seem to be loading either which makes me think that some stuff just isn't getting through.

PSN I can't even get to the store on my PS3. Strangely enough I can get onto the store on Vita, but downloads are abnormally slow (76 minutes for a 18mb patch). Even more strange is the fact that I could get into a CoD multiplayer match on Vita as well. I only tried once so it could've been a fluke. I need to test XBL online multiplayer to make sure it's just the stores that I don't have access to.

What pisses me off most is that I spent most of Saturday evening and yesterday morning fiddling before calling my isp and being told that they were having some issues. They said it was resolved yesterday though, so now I'm worried my fiddling has made it worse, and I'm not 100% convinced that it is indeed related - although absolutely nothing changed in my setup from when it was working to when it stopped working about a week ago.

This doesn't seem to be the type of issue that will correct itself at the flick of a switch at my isp, but I will keep the faith and hope it's working when I get home.

The web store is fine (https://store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/#!/en-gb/home/main) and I can sign onto the Vita store. I can't check the PS3 store at the moment as I'm copying a 19GB file to the internal HDD and I'm not interrupting that for anyone.

@StaffyDog I can't get on at all - PS3 or Vita. But my internet is also being a cunt tonight and keeps disconnecting, so I don't know if the two are at all linked.

Yeah very annoying because I don't like repeatedly hard setting the system. Still getting that message.

Even if you could get on, I wouldn't bother trying to download anything. The speeds are horrendous. It took me four days to download ME3 this week. The Network Test gives me 1.5Mbps on both my Vita and PS3. Multiple tests on speedtest.net on my PC and Tab2 (both wireless) give me a consistent 16Mbps so it's not my ISP. Also downloaded a few demos from Steam and I get ~2MBps so that seems to be correct.

I was going to play Sleeping Dogs but I need to download a gig patch before I can, so I'm going to learn Japanese instead. Might be finished downloading when I'm fluent.

Can't wait for the 50GB downloads on PS4!

Who is your ISP? I've got Virgin 50MB and it took me 67 minutes to download, started just before 9pm.

It's BT. I used to be on Virgin 50Mb before I moved but it was rubbish then too. It's just PSN downloads that are bad for me. They've ALWAYS been bad for me.

I've lived at 4 different addresses since 2007 using three different ISPs and, wired or wireless, PSN downloads have always been comparitively slow. Maybe it's my PS3? I normally set it up to download things last thing at night with auto power-off set so the goodies will be waiting for me, already installed, when I get home from work the next day but this was the worst I've seen.

I do miss having Virgin fibre for everything else though. Zoooom! I blame Richard Branson personally for my massive Steam backlog.
