Sorry, best Bond girl was clearly Diana Rigg in OHMSS
  • Deleted user 30 March 2010 19:13:39
Diana Rigg was clearly the best girl ever.

She ate garlic before every kissing scene, she despised Lasenby that much.

To summarise, they'll be months of hype, and the final outcome will be an average action thriller.

/works at Pinewood so is probably a bit cynical, although did enjoy Casino Royale.

Big Chris Cornell fan so obviously I loved the CR intro.

Give yourself £5 or Ĺ gig, you're worth it.

Apologies if this has already been covered in the thread...

Apparently either Lady GaGa or Michael Buble are being lined up to sing the theme tune for the next film. Hopefully we'll have a proper Bond theme song, rather than the more recent forgettable ones...

For the record - really enjoyed Casino Royale (and the book), but Quantum of Solice was a bit of a let down.
  • Deleted user 31 March 2010 10:24:07
I liked the Chris Cornell song but the Jack White song was abysmal in every possible way.
  • Deleted user 31 March 2010 10:25:52
As long as it's not Mark Ronson.
  • Deleted user 31 March 2010 10:38:35
They should get the Soulsavers guys on the orchestration.

Buble and Gaga can get screwed though. Soulsavers and Goldfrapp is how it should be.

Get Tina Turner to do another one. She's still singing, isn't she?

Also, I'm sorry to anyone who liked Quantum of Solace... but you're wrong. You just are.
  • Deleted user 31 March 2010 10:54:06
Buble wouldn't be too bad IMO, Goldfrapp is a great shout though.

Soulsavers without Lanegan are nothing. Soulsavers, Lanegan and Goldfrapp together...that would be interesting.

Its all bollocks. They're nowhere near deciding on the songs yet.

The tabloids just print shedloads of these stories for every Bond film so they can turn around at a later date and claim that it was exclusively revealed by them - regardless of the other 50 stories they ran stating other artists were "being lined up".

No worries there then, she's awesome. To be honest there's a hell of a lot of female solo artists around at the moment who I wouldn't mind having a crack.

    EDIT: Especially Marina.

"A source told The Sun: "Bond bosses are all huge GaGa fans. Her sound and sense of drama make her the top choice."

"GaGa has the look as well as the voice to tackle a thundering ballad. She's a great songwriter too. This is perfect on every level." "

Surely that article is a day early?

A flatmate from last year used to go to school with her.

Apparently she's quite nice as well as quite nice.

The way they write that you'd think they wake up with Gaga dolls and spent ages exclaiming how much they loved her in some board room, when the reality is they probably were in a mildly heated white standard box room in Pinewood and someone brought up that they were listening to her and she might be a good choice, before they all had coffee and returned to whatever they were doing as the art director drew cartoons of the latest Bond movie girl in a variety of choice positions to stick on the wall.
