Yeah, I don't mind a remake so long as it pays some homage to the original. Even the last Terminator film was slightly redeemed by having a CGI Arnie in with the original music. Not that it was a remake, but my point stands.

I hate it when the producer tries to distance themselves from the original.

Robocop 2 & 3, TV series and Prime Directives killed the franchise. I don't think there is anything that they could do to Murphy that could equal the damage that's already been done.

Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with it. I like a good brainless action flick.

See this here is a shit idea... so basically it is a film of them building Robocop!?! Where is the fun in that?
Lots of lovely 'twilight-esque' shots of Murphy's HAAAWT chest while they put him in nice new threads.

Will RoboCop be all glittery in sunlight?

    Oh dear. Sounds terrible.

Mentioned before I'm sure but it's just odd how you've got Vehoven films (including Starship Troopers) being made of kids. They should take kids films and make them violent.

Yeah I'm with this, I can't see the remake being anywhere near as bad as what we got after the first movie and given how low poor Robo sank in terms of quality I'm really not expecting too much from a remake (automatically you know it won't be as good as the original anyway, these remakes never are).

Not too worried about the supposed leaked script either, don't think it's real anyway, 4 new suits for robo in one movie? Yeah OK...

Hopefully it shouldn't be a brainless action flick though the original actually had a lot to say in between the action.

Hugh Laurie's dropped out. Michael Keaton's replacing him. And the current rumours are that this is the concept for the final Robocop:

It doesn't look like a cyborg. Looks like a guy in a suit, similar to the GI Joe film. He should look more clunky. Iron-Man is better.

I think this is being made for the kids. As in 12A or even PG. That doesn't mean it has no be crap though. But it will be.

They're doing the same with Starhip Troopers.

    :-D

Not for me. Can't speak for the OH though, he has some weird kinks.

Although... I'm game to give it a try if you are, big boy.

    I pulled!

I am 50/50 on this suit, like the helmet but the rest is a bit too busy especially when you compare it to the original which still looks pretty good.

I've heard somewhere it's confirmed to be PG-13. Is that correct?
