I haven't heard any of this new stuff yet, but Cornell's Timbaland-produced effort has scared the bejaysus out of me.

Cool i like'd Black hole sun and Rusty cage also his solo for Casino Royale ..... You know my name. He has a great voice just needs to find the right output as Soundgarden are a bit shit to be honest. Hopefully they get in a good lyracist and songwriter and maybe they will come good.

I take this comment back, jeez what was I thinking at the time, must have been new year blues or something.

    Rock ON:

    /sorry

Over the past few months, we've been busy jamming, writing and hanging out together - exploring the creative aspect of being Soundgarden. It feels great. We have some cool new songs that we are going to record very soon. Thank you for all of the support!

    Loudest of Love,

    Ben, Chris, Kim and Matt

Matt Cameron on the new material:

“There is a little bit of evolution going on with some of this new music, but were not straying too far from the formula. It has all our signature elements — and more. I think people are going to really love it.”

    yeah boi

Hopefully Cornell's voice will sound good too, it's been ropey in recent years.

    I'm a grumpy bastard.

as i really enjoyed the first two audioslave albums i suppose i should be excited by this.

strangely it seems i've never heard of or listened to soundgarden yet i know of both rage against the machine and audioslave.

i buy anything i like the sound of and am surprised by this coincedence.

Pick up Badmotorfinger first byak, it'll blow your mind.

    Then get the rest.

Give yourself £5 or ½ gig, you're worth it.

  • Deleted user 9 March 2011 19:21:02

The 12 year break is over & school is back in session. Sign up now. Knights of the Soundtable ride again! www.soundgardenworld.com

    Oh yes.

Funnily enough, that tweet was supposed to inform the world that the ex-soundgarden members had created a website for their legacy, not a reunion. It just snowballed into that. =)

    Apparently

1994, Nottingham Rock City... Still one of the greatest gigs I've ever been to. Is my copy of Superunknown on clear vinyl worth anything do you think?

Tickets for tonights gig at Hyde Park have still not sold out. Its a bit pricy and it could rain but I have been to a couple of these Hard Rock Calling gigs before and they are pretty good and very easy to get to.

No. I just saw him three days ago in Copenhagen playing with Pearl Jam, is all. Who, incidentally, were utterly fucking amazing.

Really? Nice. I have it series linked so will look forward to it.

    Mojo gives it 4/5.

Closing paragraph reads: "The adventurous spirit that fired Soundgarden out of the metal ghetto is gloriously alive, along with the odd blunt anthem (opener Been away too long), making King Animal sound like the album that should've come after 1996's swansong, Down on the Upside. A mighyy result."
