Don't get me wrong, I'm not one of those people who expect a reformed band to be releasing albums that are carbon copies of their glory days and I applaud them for sticking out a new album of material (and lordy knows I'd love to go see them play in September, but I'll be busy at least that evening at midnight, for they're playing here on the 16th ).
It sounds like them for sure, I just feel the songs aren't up to scratch (and that's coming from a big fan of 'Down On The Upside'). I guess I'll give the album a break and come back to it in a few weeks.
Actually Duff, if you're a fan of Cornell's vocals, have you ever heard Richie Cotzen? He's currently fronting Mike Portnoy's new band (The Winery Dogs) and he's got a similar set of pipes to ol' Chris!
