    xiialive is indeed awesome. I like the little audio connection status cues, so you can tell if the signal is totally fucked, or if it is just a little temperamental.

    I tried out a few different Google Reader apps, and I've found I actually prefer using the touch version in the browser ( www.google.com/reader/i ).

    I did, gave it 4 stars and posted a comment on the market. I like the graphics, the colours look great on my Nexus. It could be better on the sound department, the background sound is annoying and the zombies sounds could be funnier. As a poke-a-mole type of game, itīs fine.

    So would you rather have no background sound or prefer the occasional thunderbolt with the rain audio?

    More splat-like noises for the zombies?

    He is 27 and has a PHD...

    But not natively in coding, that was like a side path to his main stuff. This is is first try at making a game. He has a couple of other apps with varied success.

    Since it doesn't come up on a store search, nor via the barcode link on the site on a Tattoo, I assume it's not low res compatible?

    Vignette is pretty awesome. Picked it up on a mention on a friend's Facebook comments (he was using Hipstamatic on the iPod constantly and someone asked about Android equivalents).

    Been playing with a few apps this weekend, including:

    Talk To Me - great little speech/text translation tool, surprisingly accurate
    MultiRemote - nice remote control app with templates for VLC and the like

    Anyone looking for alternatives to the standard video player and browsers I can recommend:

    Dolphin Browser - tabs and a great user interface
    PlaysVideo - gives video titles and resume playback from where you left off. Simple but great.

    I drive an automatic 'cause I'm too cool to change gears.

    I used Skyfire browser for a while, but switched to Dolphin Browser HD - much faster, resizes pages better, and the tabbed browsing works brilliantly.

    A few other things I've used recently:
    - SMS Popup is great as it's notification instantly shows you the message with options to reply.
    - London City, a great Tube app for London travel.
    - Gmote replaced MultiRemote for me, seems a little more stable (albeit offering less functionality)
    - Camera 360 offers plenty of nice photo effects, good fun to play about with
    - WC 2010 FotMob seems to be the best Android WC app, simple calendar and standings and nice match details

    Games wise, Buka (Asteriods-ish game) and Totemo (puzzle) are keeping me entertained, while WordUp! is good for the brain cells.

    Worth noting that Google Earth is back in the marketplace too.

    ADW.Launcher is a good home screen - it copies the Android 2.2 home screen and also works for Android 1.6 (that the Xperia X10 uses).

    I needed to make a few adjustments to it - in the "drawer settings", turn off the new drawer which copies the Samsung Galaxy S's side scrolling which to me seemed annoying and in a few places on the home screens I have to replace the icons with the ones from the app menu as the ones there either did not work (for camera, said app not found) or were ugly (the contacts and the dialer were to some ugly version that are not what the xperia generally uses, so I replaced it with the standard ones from the app menu.)
