@TAJB The limit is how many surveys you get offered/qualify for: some of the reviews mention that it can be months between getting notifications, so make of that what you will.

Ah. It does sound too good to be true doesn't it. I'll look into it and see what it's all about. Might not be as easy as it looks on the surface. Do they take any info from you like email/phone number/personal data?

Hell yeah, I'll be downloading that then. Is there a limit to the amount of credits you can earn or can you just complate loads and gain 20-30 in a few days?
You get an invite for each survey. They come in fits and starts. I haven't had one for weeks but the week before I had about 3.

Not posting Appoftheday, today, as it's purely a bonus for some strategy game that uses timers/in-app purchases.

However, something interesting I discovered, last night, if you have a Samsung Galaxy phone: go into the Samsung app store and look for "Kindle for Samsung", it's a variant of the Kindle app but you get to choose one free ebook from a selection, each month.

Is it not the full game (17.99) for free?

Give yourself 5 or gig, you're worth it.

"Rise of War" is the 100% free app of the day. And if you download it today, you'll get a bonus worth 17.99, for free!
Nope, it's 17.99 worth of in-game currency. They do this pretty often and avoid the games like the plague.

Thanks! Adds them to your normal Kindle account to use anywhere, not just on Samsungers.

Updating ye olde Samsung Apps app changed its name to Galaxy Apps on my phone, so I wasted valuable seconds looking in the wrong place for the updated app. But wow, now it's called "Galaxy Apps" I'll totally use it every day and never buy a brand other than Samsung ever again. Way to go, Samsung!

    Breach and Clear
Costs about 2.50 to begin with and theres quite a few in-app purchases but the levels that are available make this a really enjoyable tactical game. Completeing levels earns you stars and the more stars you gain to more you unlock.

The controls are a little fiddley at first but when you get the hang of them you'll be killing terrorists in 30 seconds flat. It works in phases, each phase consisting of roughly 5 seconds. In that 5 seconds you need to position your men and chose their direction of sight. All you can see is the layout of the area, not the enemy position so covering your corners becomes essential so you don't get flanked.

The noise you make while breaching or shooting can make enemies move toward you or try and sneak around and every game the enemies are placed randomly so you can't get used to where they are to ace it after a few tries.

I like the random enemy positioning and the ability to chose your starting point and split the team across multiple points of entry. It's a very good game but the fact that the majority of the content seems to be in-app purchases seems a bit steep, especially after paying for the game to begin with. Quite addicting and fun to perfect, it's like a time sponge.

    9/10

EDIT: There's your paragraphs, you can have a link when I finish work ;P

I was in a hurry as the gaffer was skulking around.

@TAJB Might I suggest posting a link to the app, if you're going to go to the trouble of doing reviews?

Hitman Go down to 1.49, not sure if it's a sale.

@Mr-Brett I grabbed this a few days ago but I thought it was standard price. If it's a sale then I'm chuffed! Pretty good game so far and completing all of the challenges per level can be difficult and take multiple completions, for example; One mission's challenges are Complete the level, Finish in less than 15 turns and collect the briefcase. But collecting the briefcase is impossible in less than 15 turns so you need to repeat the mission a few times.

@TAJB I'm not sure, I remember looking a few weeks ago and I think it was about 4.

I've just played a few levels and I agree, good game so far. It makes a lot out of the simple mechanics, is well presented and easy to stop and start, also runs nicely on my S3.

I'm playing some frankly horrendous F2P thing called Evolution. I am aware that it is a slow, grinding thing desperate to make me open my wallet (which I haven't), but I can't seem to stop playing it!

    Currently playing Trials Frontier.

The riding bit works surprisingly well on a touch screen though as expected, it doesn't get as intricate as the full blown Trials games.

Where it falls on it's arse totally is the abhorrent F2P grind/pay through-the-nose mechanic as popularized in numerous other games.
This "free" game actually has an option of paying 70 for diamonds which speed up progression. I'm sure at least some person somewhere has paid it too.

Fuck that. Fuck everything about it. The way things are going it's like phones are being turned into the arcades of old where the game was engineered deliberately to punish you and encourage you to empty your wallets more.

If this was 10 without any of the daft "wait 24 hours to upgrade your bike" shite I would hold it in very high regard, but no, it's a pretty, scaled down Trials experience wrapped in a twee, fluff story.

The tracks so far are also a little too easy. I've honestly crashed into the paywall more often than into the brick ones.

Chalk another one up in the Fail column for Ubisoft.

    Atomic Cookie

I'm playing this new game for last three days now. Its really simple, but addictive. And not so hard like Swing Copters for example, not so frustrating :)
I'm still trying to go over 200 though.

Ignore FWB - he simply hasn't seen your other 3 posts which establish you as a regular gamer and forum contributor, and not all a grubby shill who'll disappear after a page or two of piss-taking.
