That's one of the reasons why I prefer Kingdom Rush. That and the superior game play.

PvZ is good fun but a bit too casual

If you can read this you really need to fiddle with your forum settings.

Can anyone recommend a decent news reader. Preferably with a scrollable widget.

I use feedly at the moment which is tolerable but I'd like it to open directly into chrome.

    Have I recommended Androminion before?
For anyone who likes Dominion, it worth getting. It's not perfect as it doesn't show you what effects each action card has before you buy them. But for a free game it's still jolly decent.
    It has all expansions included.

Not as nice as I used to be

I was going to ask whether any of these were worth it. Am getting an N7 for Christmas so might use it more for games, can't get on with games on my S2 at all.

Swordigo is a pretty good, if simple, metroidvania thing.

    He totally called it

@Dougs Spelltower, Ridiculous Fishing and Rymdskapsel all make it worth it; the rest are bonuses.

I swapped to ART on my nexus 4 and it broke Kingdom Rush Frontier.

Not noticed any benefits so might go back to Dalvik.

Swiftkey is free at the moment for all those with the Legacy edition.

Also Pulse is a great rhythm action game.

Hmm best place to ask I could find.

Android Battery Usage screen. Are the apps shown there currently draining the battery or is it a history of apps that have drained the battery?

Ridiculous Fishing (as good as it is) absolutely rapes the battery on my S3.

Currently I think. Or since last charge, that's what I read it as.

My fave ever Android/ios game, Radiant Defense, just got updated with four new levels. It's free to play or about 3 with all the tower packs. Brilliant aesthetic and soundtrack.

@Flying_Pig Cover is great - but spent 5 hours in the car yesterday, with zero mobile use - got to my destination and checked my battery usage after a few Play Store reviews had questioned the battery drain Cover creates, and 11% of battery drain was due to Cover!! - hadn't even looked at my phone in those 5 hours. Until that's sorted, its un-installed. N5 running 4.4.2

Dropchord is free through Amazon edit: probably best not get it through that link, it seems to have some issues if you're not in the uk.

@LockeTribal They are hard to distinguish from one another. I wouldn't bother. Think of Zenonia, Zenonia 2 and Zenonia 3, and now try to think of differences between them.
BINGO :) I might be biased though as I've grown to hate these cookie-cutter mobile phone JRPGs.. or KRPGS.

The new game from Half Brick ( Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride ) is out for Android ( and IOS - if you are that way inclined ) called Colossatron about a giant snake like robot that has come to destroy the world. You are that evil world destroying robot!

I really love it, but I'll admit I'm not sure exactly why. I ran down my battery twice playing this and I never do that with mobile games. If you want to give it a try it's only 0.59p there are you tube videos after the link to have a look at what it's like.

Really enjoying Shadowrun Returns. Is there anything else similar? Same mechanics different setting, maybe a Fallout type game?

Not that I don't like the Cyberpunk setting. More of the same will do.

Just went to have a look on the play store and bloody hell that's expensive for a mobile game isn't it? 4.48 and that's with 30% off!! When I see that sort of price is an instant no.

It plays great on a 10 inch tablet. Point and click stuff is perfect for touch.

    4.28 is a bargain.

I'm sorry, I should have posted this yesterday, but for the rest of today there are some... errr... "JSRPG"s on sale - Spectral Souls, Blazing Souls et al. Most are completely ignorable, as they're direct PSP ports with onscreen D-pad / buttons, so you may as well just buy a PSP emulator.

However, they've got the full, complete Record of Agarest War, updated with touchscreen controls, for a fiver for the next 24 hours or so. I imagine it could be quite good on a tablet with touchscreen. It's the same price as on Steam, and it's the whole 100+ hour game. Actually, that's what has made me NOT buy it in the end - 100 hours?! Still, someone may be interested.

I'll probably be picking up Chaos Rings 2 later this week - just want to get a bit further into 1 to make sure I want more. (Apparently the stories are independent and 2 is better, so dive right in if you want it!)

Android Police have quite a good list of ongoing deals on Android. I picked up EPOCH and N.O.V.A. 3. I also highly recommend both Kingdom Rush and Kingdom Rush Frontiers (the former was in a recent Humble Bundle, I think).
