Got Broken Sword for 25p. What a bargain. I am mostly shit at it but it is loads of fun. I never got round to playing it in the psx days so I am glad to get the chance.

I have put Winamp on my Nexus, quite impressed with that, especially the wireless transfer.

One thing I miss from my old CM7 ROM - the music player would skip tracks on a long-press of the volume button when the screen was off, definitely need to recreate that.

I got all you can eat data add on for my contract 3 phone the other day after running up a painful data charge after exceeding my limit. Great, I thought, until afterwards I read it excluded tethering data. Gits! So I checked the play store and found Foxfi WiFi tether app, that can hide your other device via a proxy setting. Has anyone used this, or another that gets round no unlimited tether data? I'm worried about using it until I know for sure it will work, my new allowance doesn't start for a few days.

Couldn't you remove your SIM card and then turn Wi-Fi hotspot on?

Turns out a quick double press of the pause button on the Samsung earphones skips tracks, hooray!

    Rayman's pretty bloody good.
It does have the dreaded 'One touch' control system, but it works well. Presentation and music are top notch, very close in quality to its console equivalent.
Loving it so far, easily the best 1.99 I've spent on the play store.

Errrr, I think you'll find he's using the phone to supply data to another device, pulling the SIM card will cut him off from the mobile network...

Well, it's a free app so why not use it for a few days or a week and keep close tabs on your data limit to make sure it's working as promised? It has had over a million downloads and averages a rating of 4.5, so I'd guess it's worthwhile.

I thought he was talking about portable Wi-Fi hotspot

I'll give it a go and monitor the data usage closely then. Oddly my nexus 7 doesn't find the wifi network the FoxFi app broadcasts, so I've had to switch to the bluetooth mode, which requires a app for the tablet to work correctly. All a bit fiddly, but worth it for sure.

    Impressed with Tasker.

Have set my phone up so that it enables auto-rotate when i watch video, enables GPS when i open maps or london transport, and it changes my input setting from swiftkey to handwriting when i open evernot

Yeah Tasker is the dogs danglies. You can get it to do some very clever things if you've got the time you sink into it.

    Brap, brap, old chap.

Anyone else on Three mobile? How quickly does your internet data usage update? Doing some tests with Foxfi to make sure my mobile hotspot is hidden and not increasing my out of allowance bill. So far though my usage hasn't change via Bluetooth mode, or my default Android hotspot app which should add data usage.

I've been playing Plague, inc a bit recently and it's pretty good (and hard). You play a disease of some kind and your mission is to wipe out the human race - you get upgrades to increase infectivity, transmission carriers and effects that increase or decrease lethality.

Apart from the fact it's so morbid, I'm really enjoying it. And the bastard Canadians just keep on surviving so I haven't beaten it yet.

@Ginger It's had me going a couple of nights now, it's the same as the old Flash game "Pandemic", unsure if they've given any nods back to the original devs though.

Still, it's entertaining as fuck and still hard as nails

Devils attorney out for 2.33 English pounds. Good reviews so far, apparently like ace attorney but having never played it I can't comment. Took a punt anyway

Death Dome (freemium) looks to be quite a good game. Cell shaded graphics i think as some parts of the trailer did look like borderlands 2 but others didn't look cell shaded

I downloaded a Dominion-a-like onto my Android tablet last night - Androminion.
It contains the original game, plus many of the add-ons.
Had a go last night. The interface is dull, but functional. No idea on the quality of AI yet as I was actually playing solo! (Seems you actually have to pick a second player - it was late so I didn't start a second game).
Overall, it was pretty good, and even better, there's a note saying that Rio Grande games have asked them to stop developing/promoting the game as they are due to release an Official Dominion game shortly.

Not as nice as I used to be

been playing dead trigger in 10minute bursts. its good fun, and the controls arent offensive
  • Deleted user 12 October 2012 09:18:08
Oh yeah Dead Trigger - I've beaten the main quest in that. Waiting for an update to add new missions.
There is a half-cheating way how to get strong weapons using casino chips and restore from backup (New Hope). You just need to be patient, and that jackpot will come. It'll give you 200 gold which is nice.
Also, that backup save works with both iOS and Android devices.

I deleted it after a bit. Looks amazing on the Nexus 7, but trying to control the camera and shoot on the right hand side of the screen is too fiddly. Found myself having to do a quick aim then adjust with movement of the left 'stick' whilst shooting. Fairly repetitive too.

Is there anyway to stop SwiftKey acting like a complete cunt and jumping my text to the top and inserting it in place of random words. Losing the will to continue with it.
