How is it that the Mysterious Cities of Gold hasn't come up yet? Easily the greatest childrens show in the history of man. It was even better when Silver Fox Schofield used to sing over the ending credits as well.

Ah got to love innocent, childhood racism.

It was dubbed into English by the French or something and they didn't do a very good job with the translation so there was a lot of inappropriate stereotyping going on and whenever white characters turned up they would come up with some 'charming' names for the Spanish characters.

It was also one of those long running kids shows that never seemed to have an ending with only a handful of episodes ever shown on a continuous loop forever and ever*

*See Also: Around the World with Willy Fog.

    Firefly/Serenity.

Also liked one of the iterations of the theme song of the wire. Season 5 actually.

    Valar morghulis.

If we're allowing cartoons, then Darkwing Duck.

/I am the terror that flaps in the night
/I am the winged scourge that pecks at your nightmares etc etc

I actually remember the last episode of both of those. Not Dogtanian though, not sure if that ever did end.

Another vote for the True Blood intro from me.

Always rather liked the Stargate theme though I'm not sure that counts as it's actually a film soundtrack. Also, the various B5 themes though I seem to remember 4 was my favourite.

I couldn't watch Dogtanian. I just found it too weird that he didn't wear pants.

I just read the whole thread, and was starting to get a bit concerned until both The Littlest Hobo and The Mysterious Cities of Gold came up on page 3. My two favourite theme tunes.

    Edit: insert comma for clarity.

It's a fine line for me between Ulysses 31 and Jayce and the wheeled warriors. Epic stuff.

My personal old school favorite would be Ulysses.

But watching TV with my kid, a couple of more recent entries into the pantheon of great themes are Lion Man, and Fineas and Furb.

I'd YouTube them if I could but work wont let me.

    Brap, brap, old chap.
