All about the boss fights. Also, this has to be one of the trippiest games ever.

Going to try and play this again soon, sold it when first came out after nearly killing myself through boredom. I have a free copy now on ps3 so will give it another chance (after I complete rayman, Monaco and overlord).

    @Choppi
Get to it woman I loved it, but I do like "fecking" about in large game worlds, hence my love of ACIV at the mo.
I even enjoyed the co-op multiplayer mode.

Have you tried Saboteur ? if not do so, it can only be pennies now.
  • Deleted user 22 December 2013 09:31:16
Not tried it no. I think that was my problem, as I get older I like my hand held a little bit. I'm not sure why but that has put me off ac4 as well, I had it in my hand yesterday but the thought of all that in focused filler made me put it back.

Tempted to go back today to get either ac4 for 22 or Skyrim for 10.

    Also this.

Duff, how you can love FO3 so much and not play Skyrim is beyond me. It's also a great game for this time of year. Lots of snow and lovely aurora borealis to admire.

The less said about NV, the better. ;-)

@Vortex808 personally I prefer New Vegas to FO3. Felt closer to the originals and especially FO2
  • Deleted user 22 December 2013 10:25:33
But but but ac4 doesn't have dragons or snow covered mountains or giants or wood elves or or or re incarnated skeletons! It is clear what you must do.

Yeah, despite the bugginess, I preferred New Vegas. Hardcore mode in particular was most welcome.

I liked NV too, not as much as 3 though. The factions bugged me a bit.

However, i will clarify that I was referring to Duffman's reticence to play it despite endless nagging from people on here already.

    Finished FC3 today.

I'm in the "story is shit" camp and found the QTE (like all QTE) extremely annoying but these are minor niggles. It's a very good game.

Golden moments of gaming: Taking out an outpost by letting a tiger out of his cage and having him maul all soldiers.

*sigh* Sooooo predictable. Do it with a caged emu far more fun :)

I kinda wish they'd remade it in the FC3 engine/assets.

I finally got around to playing this (PC), I'm enjoying it for the most part. It's really pretty. The mouse and keyboard controls aren't so bad, but you can tell it's made for the controller as I find the gunplay very easy, I find I have to play it on hard.

I'm not that far in, I ust recused the second girl and I'm going around the Island taking over outposts. I've encountered my first heavy unit, and I'm not sure how to kill the bastards other than a lucky grenade. I shot the guy 4 times in the face with a sniper rifle to no avail, emptied a shotgun,, assault rile to the legs and nuts to no avail. I might as well be shooting a wall. :/ Any advice on dealing with them? I'm about $1000 off from saving up for a grenade launcher, will that do the trick or there some other easier way that I'm missing?

    Thank you.

When you upgrade enough you can spend a skill point on a heavy takedown, they're so slow I would just do that. If it isn't available yet it will be soon I'm sure, I don't remember having any grief with them and I'm a pretty poor player of games in general.

I'm trying to take over an outpost near bad town, there are three heavy units there and they seem to stick together, I'm having a lot of trouble splitting them up as soon as I try to take one down the other turns me into Swiss cheese :-(
