    I don't remember Sound Shapes being hard to platinum at all, a couple of the death levels were tricky but nothing to bad. Probably not what you want to hear when you are struggling, out of interest are you playing on Vita or PS3?
    I found Rayman Origins a lot easier on Vita so maybe that's part of it?

    I'm playing on PS3 mate. I wouldn't say that it's impossible in the way that Batman or Vanquish challenges are, as I'm sure I will eventually triumph, but I really dislike the waste of my time, constantly reloading, and hoping for a round which is not another no-win scenario...

    I guess you could say it's trying my patience more than anything. A few if them I really liked. :-) Maybe I'll have a crack at it now...

    Just got my 21st, New Vegas, very easy, only realised  it was within reach when I looked at list and saw I only needed banned from casinos and even then I had only The Tops left which I was on my way to anyway so could've actually had it pop without trying.

    I didn't even know there were multiple ending trophies just so happened I decided to make 2 saves once I got invited by the NCR and Caeser to meet, so it was luck I made an extra save at right time.

    Me, I'll get there in the end. Right now I'm playing through Tales of Vesperia without really thinking about trophies at all. My current strategy for Sound Shapes is to snag a few death mode levels here and there from time to time, before making a big push.

    I think I said it before but 2/3 of them are challenging and fun, but the other 1/3 require skill and a significant run of luck, and without that luck, I don't believe that even D.A.R.Y.L. could succeed. I really do find that very discouraging. :-/

    Got Lego Lord of the Rings platinum yesterday. It wasn't hard but getting the collectibles was a drain.

    Just got the Virtue's Last Reward Platinum.

    Fairly easy but the save file was 46hours which is much, much longer than I thought it took.

    I got the plat for Tales of Vesperia. I can only describe the experience as punishing and pointless. One of the worst designed trophy lists ever.

    Travel 50,000km. I crawled all over the world several times over, and uncovered ever single monster, sidequest and item. And STILL, I had to rubber band my controller while flying for about 6 hours to get this pointless trophy.

    During that time, I studied kanji for a couple of hours, cleaned my house and practised juggling, on top of doing the shopping and making dinner. So, my time was well spent, but isn't that kind of trophy just stupid?

    Also, the usagi club trophy should pop when you complete membership, not make you play with those 4 characters for 5 hours, as the game often randomly plucks a character here and there, reseting the 5 hour counter to 0 each time. Stupid.

    Also, just to quickly review the game, I think that it's a game that would benefit greatly from streamlining. I would probably give it an 8 or 9 out of 10. Let's say 8/10. If they streamlined it more and shortened the cut-scenes, and cut out all the waiting for loading, it'd be a 10/10, and a legendary game. But it just takes too long to do anything in that game. Shame.

    ANYWAY... /exhales

    J & D was my fastest plat according to this. ^-^ It's a great game, and one of those where getting the plat helps you get the most out of the game. But please Jesus in heaven PJM, don't play Jak II at any costs.

    Given up on Rayman Legends on Vita, got every trophy bar 1, reach the highest level of awesomeness.

    You get points for every level you clear which helps raise your level, I have reached every target within the SP levels and am about 80 points shy of level 10, but you need to get to level 11 for the trophy which needs another 2000 points. The only way to do this is to complete online challenges where you get 2 new ones a day and you average between 5 - 10 points per challenge depending on how well you place.

    Just not worth my time, may try again when it inevitably comes to Plus next year.

    Re J & D, I would have had 3 platinums on PS2 as I 100% completed all 3 back in the day, will have to finish 1 soon and move on to 2 to see if it is as difficult as everyone says.

    @Telepathic.Geometry

    Already started Jak II. Not sure what ND were thinking. It seems to be a bad GTA homage. Most of what made J&D great is missing.

    No way I will track down the trophies. Cannot be arsed looking for hidden things when there is no way to know what I have already found.

    Plan to just plough through the missions until I get distracted by something else.

    Is Jak 3 any better?

    @PazJohnMitch Yeah, Jak 3 is not perfect, but it fixes almost everything that was wrong with Jak II. To throw things into perspective, I would probably rate them as follows:

    Jak and Daxter 1: 10/10;
    Jak and Daxter 2: 3/10;
    Jak and Daxter 3: 8/10.

    Still, for me, the first was perfect in virtually every way, and Jak II and even the pretty decent Jak 3 are better left untouched if at all possible. They really do sully the perfection that is the original.

    Chalk up EDF Vita for The Mighty Rose!

    This was without doubt the toughest platinum I have earned yet.

    You know I was playing with a french guy on EDF and afterwards I was checking out his trophies (ooooooer missus!) and I noticed he had 157 platinum trophies! What on earth. How can anyone find the time to get all those? Tim Rose told the lad not to rest easy though as I am only 150 behind him. He he.

    Currently working towards the platinum on Lone Survivor The Director's Cut just now.

    Tempted to try for The Last of Us. I have all the harder trophies (do the two journeys online, clear the game on Survivor and Survivor+).

    Hmm.

    To be honest, I thought the online mode for TLoU was actually very well done and enjoyed it a lot.

    The periods where 100% of your population is at risk made for some genuinely tense gaming.

    Never seen that site before. Interesting. My fastest 100% is Linger In Shadows in 9 minutes 53 seconds.

    I often find myself checking that site out during the course of the day while I'm doing busy work. It shows you what your rarest trophies are, what percentage of your trophies you've snagged, and sometimes you can find nice tips in there too...

    It's a good site (new to me too) - might tempt me to fire up some old games and get some rare trophies :)

    Just platinumed Ni No Kuni last week. Damn, what a boring grind at the end. I don't care having to invest some hours after finishing the game, but getting 250 familiars and the rare items to alchemize was not fun.

    Still, I did it anyway, cause I got nothing better to do.

    Just did Ratchet & Clank 3 HD. Got a bit grindy towards the end (hold 10,000,000 bolts at once) but it's always good fun levelling up the weapons to see what they can do.

    Got The Walking Dead Platinum earlier. It was always going to happen, but I actually think the trophy requirements were totalling in keeping with the type of game. I'm glad TT avoided the need for multiple playthroughs of forcing you to do something silly just to get a trophy.
