Dingledodies was great and the new series Good News or whatever I also think it pretty great, he isn't anything new or unseen but he is funny in my eyes.

Registered 9 years agoPeople slag off Howard for being predictable, repetitive, reusing jokes and having weird facial mannerisms, but say the only good thing about MtW is Frankie Boyle???!!! I loved him for the first series or two, but he's now by far the most tedious person on it.

Registered 7 years agoThat's the problem with too many appearances on too many panel shows. You hope for some improv but nope, they just use their stand up routine.
Compare with The Paul Merton who can keep it fresh fresh. Hell, he was one of the starter uppers for Whose Line is it Anyway! The improv show! -

I would say fair play to all comedians for giving it a go. But I just can't find Howard funny. Parsons isn't too bad, but I just very rarely find anyone funny on Mock the week. -

Yeah he does overdo that a bit in Mock the Week (but his voice over bits are fantastic!) however in Outnumbered he's fabulous. -

Christ, that takes me back. Saw Punt and Dennis in Northampton, they were great.
Used to serve Steve Punt in Oddbins back when I lived in Wimbledon. Nice chap. -
I've only seen him on Mock The Week, and have avoided Outnumbered purely because he's in it.
BTW, is there any truth in what people say about Frankie Boyle being a watered down Jerry Sadowitz? Boyle's even stolen jokes from him IIRC, and since Sadowitz has taken a dig at Boyle in his latest tour name there must be something in it. -
