Registered 6 years agoI concur with the original poster. I saw a defence somebody else put forward to say that Russell Howard is very good for his age. I put this to you, there are a ton of british comics who are on the circuit, not out of their 20's and are hungrier, funnier, braver and cleverer than Howard. Unfortunately, they aren't on TV.
/wishes that a british comic of equivalent talent had a combination of charisma, balls, talent and luck that Eddie Murphy had when he managed to snag himself a gig on Saturday Night Live at 19(!). And Beverly Hills Cop at 23. Wowser. -

Registered 8 years agoWhen I first saw him, introducing a movie premier a few weeks ago, I thought he was pretty good.
I have since seen some mock the week and his new show and found him to be dull and repetitive. I mean, he reused the same jokes that he used in the movie premier in the first episode of his new show - thats poor. -

Registered 7 years agoMock the week is actually pointless without Frankie Boyle. In particular I don't like the bit where they have to go and do a line about a random story. It's clever and all but so boring and not remotely funny.
