I've been wracking my brains, but I've just watched this from beginning to end again and yes, it's got to be one of the best movie scenes ever.
    100% this scene

That scene was fascinating I agree. Almost makes me want to watch it except it clearly is a gritty angry film and I only like rom-coms.

Heh heh. Make sure you watch the film - it's absolutely brilliant.

Cheers for reminding me about this. I'd totally forgotten about it. Brilliant film. Really worth a watch. Actually most, if not all of Shane Meadows films are ace.

Another, good scene from a wicked film.

Dunno why, but one these images is difficult to look at, atleast during the film

I don't think there's such a thing as a best scene from Baraka but this one always chokes me up:

Really can't recommend the film enough if you haven't seen it. The clip above loses a lot out of context of the whole thing.

Part 1 and Part 2 of my favourite movie scene. It's the sequence in Where Eagles Dare where Smith explains everything - or does he? Richard Burton was a serious hard bastard in this movie. Brilliant stuff.

That's mine, too! All my favourite bits of my favourite films are like this, bits where the music and the images are just perfectly matched.

Goodfellas - When all the bodies turn up after the Lufthansa job to the tune of Layla's piano outro. Leads right into Pesci's death. Perfect. Right up there for me. Same piece is used in the end credits and it works so well.

Good call, one of the few perfect montages in film.

It's basically the end of the film. The next 30 min are just the folding in of everything and wrapping up though in an unexpected* way. I do like those kind of endings. Blow has a similar ending, though no way near as good.

*As unexpected as anti-heroes can be.

    Found it on Youtube.

Thanks for posting that, I haven't seen Goodfellas for about fifteen years and my memory cheated me. I thought there was virtually no dialogue in that scene, just the music, silly brain.

It's a timely reminder that this should go in the dvd tray tomorrow night. Cheers.

Good call. One of my favourites. Love the very last scene too with Sid Vicious' version of "My Way".

Three scenes of Billy Jack, for your lucky people. An American Indian Vietnam vet, ex-Green Beret, doing the jobs just too tough for the Littlest Hobo.

There is a potential Donkey Kong killscreen coming up.

    Best line if cinematic history.

Speaking of Lynch, the Club Silencio scene from Mulholland Dr is one of my favourites ever. Really unnerving, and it has me in tears every time I see it

One of my favourites ever. You probably need to see the whole film to get the character of it though.

I liked the bit where the man said he'd be back only he wasn't a man and he did come back.
