(Why was the previous thread deleted?)

Chapter 3, "Lair of the Leviathan", is released today for PC and it looks like we'll be meeting an old friend...

    Damned if I can.

I've done the last two without a walkthrough.

I do think these telltale versions have been made a little easier than the older counterparts.

    Still good mind.

After saying this I bet I'll be pulling my hair out later

I can figure some of it out, but I don't have the patience to get through an entire episode.

Luckily, I got the 1st for free from Amazon! ;)

Never finished the last one. Got stuck on some puzzle I can't even remember near the end, I think it was the barbeque, and gave up. :(

Oh. I can't remember what cliff you mean nor why that would ever occur to someone, presumably a clue I missed! Cheers though. I'll get round to it one day...

    ;)

    Wow! Best chapter so far.

love the bit with guybrush inside the voodoo lady and the end credits with murrys comments infact the whole thing had a grin on my face.

Why must they be over so soon :(

Oh and the way guybrush runs underwater just like in MI2 pure class.

Just finished it. Such excellence. A certain character's lines are all instant classics.

    "I WILL END YOU!"

    "SMITE HIM!"

    Oh Murray.

2nd episode was great, but hard!

And i had a bug where one screen went black whenever I walked onto it, so I looked up a spoiler to see if there was anything there I needed. Then used the guide several times over the rest of the adventure.

    /hangs head in shame.

I had to use a walkthrough to complete part 2 as I got stuck toward the end trying to locate the last artifact. And, yes, I feel ashamed admitting that.

Part 3 so far seems very chucklesome. The setting is also more interesting too and the supporting characters seem less generic than the previous instalments.

It's not that difficult since most of the answers are shown in the flashbacks. Just watch them all and use that knowledge to answer the questions. There is one about the name of the ship that had me stumped (since I could not see the answer) but the game allows you to retry as many times as you want so after a few attempts you'll be lucky enough to get three questions you do know the answers too. I actually enjoyed this bit actually as it felt like detective work.

Took me about an hour to get passed that bit.

Ah well... it took me about 10 minutes and three retries to eventually end up with three questions I definitely KNEW the answers to. :p

Incidentally what is the name of the ship... the Knave of... what? Never did work that one out? Where was the answer/clue?

Completed this today and it was excellent, very silly and with a nice little subtext which is quite a novelty in games. The puzzles are decent and the whole story is coming together pretty well. Cant wait for the next one.

....anyone enjoying these might want to check out the demo for indie game machinarium. Its a 2D point and click with really nice art work. The demos only short but show good signs with clever puzzles and some funny moments.
The full game itself dosnt come out until later this month

Apologies for the thread resurrection but it didn't seem right to make a new one either, for this one little question...

Anyways I'm finally getting round to playing this soon (on the PC) and was wondering if it was possible to use a gamepad with it properly now, via a patch or anything. I remember when it came out you could only use it for movement, but not for anything else (clicking and the like). I've been playing a bunch of other Telltale games with my 360 controller, sat on the sofa and it's been fine.

I think it was patched in but can't verify this. Was hoping the bump was confirmation of another series :(

Sorry to get your hopes up! I thought that might happen with the bump and all.

The game doesn't officially work with JUST the gamepad, sadly... but hopefully someone here will know of some other means to get around this.

You could use something like Xpadder as a workaround. Assign left stick as WSAD, right stick as mouse movement, buttons as mouse clicks and inventory keys.

Xpadder eh? Sounds like what I might need - thanks! I'll give it a shot.
