Just discovered The Rolling Stones. I have no idea why, but tonight is the first time I've listened to one of their albums in full. Let It Bleed is an amazing record.

That it is.

Are they a parody band? They can't hold a candle to The Ants
You should check these guys out.
I'm perplexed as to why they have such an expansive wiki page. -
Got Beggars Banquet cos wikipedia said it's one of the best. Seems wikipedia is correct.

Registered 7 years agoToday's bands certainly aren't worth listening to.
I often find myself popping in some Stones or Zeppelin...or, pretty much anyone that could be considered "good" at any point in time, except by today's standards. -

Registered 10 years agoSame here, Craigy - although I "knew of" The Stones and quite liked a few of their hits, I hadn't really spent much time listening to their back catalogue until earlier this year. It still feels like I've wasted a whole lot of time that could have been spent enjoying their music, 'cos I love it!
I tend to be late to the party a lot with music, though. -

Registered 11 years agoGimme Shelter has one of my favourite intros of all time. The rest of the song is a bit meh though. -
Listen to Exile on Maine Street - best album of the era ever. Seriously.
Dont wanna walk, talk about Jesus
Just wanna see his face
Sticky Fingers, Get Yer Yayas Out etc all very good albums in their own rights as well
By a street a better musical group than Beatles but less of an impact.

Gimme Shelter: perfect
Sympathy for the devil: perfect
Undercover of the night; perfect
The Stones were and still are a great band. Defo should have a Stones Rock Band with the same love the Beatles have got"Duffman is thrusting in the direction of the problem! Oh, yeah!"

Gimme Shelter is probably the most played RB song I've got. Paint It Black would get more love too but it requires a disc change.
The Stones are awesome.LB, you really are a massive geek.
