Batman running at 7600x1680 and about 50FPS average. On a 5970 but nevertheless.

And actually the 5870 is not much slower with 40FPS average.

    This.

This looks very interesting - I had a read through this thread back in Sept. I've been playing around with dual displays since Win 98SE - I had to go through a lot of BSODs before I got things stable with my crap GFX cards and drivers back then...

As far as games are concerned - the potential over and above 'trying to make a big telly' is to have peripheral vision - in driving games, simulators and FPS games.

Being able to look off to the sides - or even behind in these games is of massive benefit.

For the time being on the desktop at home I use a 4:3 next to a 16:9 - both 19". Works great in Win7 and gives the best of both worlds for video playback or gaming depending of the aspect ratio that works well with the material.

I'll be keeping an eye on these developments...

Bezel compensation on 6 displays. Not as useful as with 3 displays because of the bar in the middle.

That would suck a nut for first person when the reticle is invariable in the middle of the screen. This has to be the worst thought out load of bollocks ever.

I'm wondering if monitor manufacturers are paying ATi off or something.

    Super thin bezel.

    This signature intentionally left blank.
