    Hello everyone,

your help will be needed. My wife talks about an old Game Boy game she owned (1st game boy model), where you start as a boy around a Castle at a waterfall.
She thinks you directly start in a fight against a dragon or something, and must then jump into the waterfall to get into a valley.

Then she remembered finding one dodo egg, which eventually got born (not sure about that).

She's still haunted by the music.

i know its not much, but maybe someone will find it.

It's not Mario RPG, we already found that out.

There are Gameboy emulators for pretty much any OS, though. But not quite the same thing, I suspect. And the legalities are a bit questionable, if you want to get the ROM for that game :-)

The game was remade as Sword of Mana for the GBA, which you can play on a regular DS- the story is exactly the same, with updated graphics.

It was called Mystic Quest over here. Sword of Mana is a bit of a pants remake from what I hear.

Edit: Yeah, it really is an awesome game. Recently replayed it start to finish. Really one of the most overlooked games of all time IMO. If they made a modern day sequel to this I would pre-order in an instant.

Ah, that's actually the first Mana game, but renamed in the West to be a Final Fantasy game.

    Hey RetardStrong,

Yeah, Sword of Mana wasn't great.

Mystic Quest is ace though, and the title music is, as the OP suggests, quite haunting. I can still remember it now 16-odd years later.

Wasn't the collision detection a bit ropey in places? Still, amazing that they crammed it onto a GB cart.

Just get a GBA and the original game and play it that way. If you can find it of course.
