if you have nothing intresting to say then you might as well just throw your bags on the truck and drive away

Registered 7 years agoMy friends dog was called jet but, as we discovered, answered to anything loud and a single syllable.
So he became known as the mong voice you do when you put your tongue under your bottom lip. Its not even a word but he would come running if you went 'mnur-ur-ur'.---------------------------------------------------------

It's okay, we're in a non-judgemental dog-based environment here.

We do, but everyone is now telling us it is a bad idea. We never leave her tied up alone though or in a garden by herself. And she is so damn friendly anyway a stranger won't even need to know her name for her to potter off with them!

We have his name on the tag. Assumed it was the done thing to be honest. Maybe because we assumed people looking at the tag would be trying to return him if he escaped?
Can't say I've EVER left him outside of a shop or anything like that. I honest don't think he'd like that. Maybe I should be brave and do that one day. -

Registered 8 years agoWhy would having your dog's name on its tag make it easier to steal?
Is dog rustling really a big problem in the UK?if you have nothing intresting to say then you might as well just throw your bags on the truck and drive away

Registered 4 years agoIf you know the name its easier to get the dog to come to you. "Get the van Roger!!" and that's it. Next thing you know your dogs wearing crotchless panties and a peephole bra, dancing on a hot plate in some Iranian sheikhs rape yacht. -
Sounds like a Thursday.

Registered 7 years agoYour name and address are what's required by law in the uk, although a telephone number and post code are optional but advised.
Stanley hates being tied up outside shops, I make a point of it to toughen the little wimp up. -

Apparently you're just supposed to put your telephone number on the tags and not the dog's name but if my dogs ever got lost or stolen, I'd want them to at least be called by their names.

Registered 4 years agoThat's stupid, dogs can't even use phones. Even if they could how they gonna tell you where they are. It's fucking stupid.

Your dog can't use a phone? Pfftttt.. noob.
-
Deckard once told me in the strictest confidence that his dogs are named Fluffles and FiFi McCutiepants
-
I hear Deckard lets his dogs tongue him. In the mouth.
