Well the writers have said it won't end on a cliffhanger. I swear to god if it's just a quick explosion and fire fight like terminus I'll be a bit let down.

The Walking Dead is like your friend describing an episode to you where he sometimes forgets scenes, character development and dramatic tension.

I think I missed the first few minutes. Did they show Sasha being captured? By the time I tuned in she was in a cell.

I didn't notice it happening if they did and the whole all of a sudden they're all going to take all the guns from the ladies only camp was a little jarring too?

I think the season as a whole has been good. But last episode was plain booooring.

I quite enjoyed the recent episode myself, thought the little twist with the suicide pill was excellent. I also really like the Hilltop mayor scenes, show needs more of him.

Agreed, and sad to say but the characters I like to watch most are not in the Rick camp, they've almost become parodies. Fucking Maggie and her gardening lessons and I swear she is getting more hillbilly with each day.

Fuck ricks camp it's the worst group now. Give me more Gregory, Dwight and Eugene. In fact do a spin off with those 3. Like the 3 stooges in a zombie apocalypse.

Eugene and Carol are the only two characters I can even consider having any sort of consistent and interesting personality traits now. Why I persist in watching this I don't know.

All caught up. Show needs to go down to 10-12 episodes to cut out the filler.

Expecting 5-6 main deaths this episode

And that deer from a few episodes back... dear God.
  • Deleted user 2 April 2017 13:07:33
    @Baihu1983

I know of one that definitely dies. I expect a few bit part characters to bite it as well. That deer was painful cgi to watch.

What the hell, is Dwight a treacherous bastard or what? I am still not sure about him, I still hope he will somehow kill Negan someday. Zombie Sasha was neat, I really did not expect that. Oh yeah, the Fringe bitch.
If I was Rick I would shoot her on first occasion.

Well if that was the penultimate episode id say it was pretty good. But it wasnt. To finish like that after an already poor dragged out season was crap. Some good bits though

Yeh, was that really the finale? If so, the show just jumped the shark.

Yup just checked. I now care as much about this as I do the other walking dead they tried to spin off. I.e
    Exactly zero.

So many opportunities for redemption and they threw them all away.

That was probably the worst TV firefight I have ever seen. I can't believe they spent all season building up for something so pointless. The Sasha\Abe angle was cringe.

It was almost great. Problem is, nobody cares about Sasha so her sacrifice lacked impact.

The whole angle with the weird garbage people makes no sense, why would you trust them? And the gunfight was all over the place, they've done gunfights far better in earlier seasons. At least Coral looked badass and they delivered on the tiger mauling scene. But all the important characters escaped so they had a big fight and killed off a bunch of red shirts for no reason.

I don't really get the bin people and their clipped way of speaking.

Are we supposed to believe enough time has gone by for people to start regressing or something?

Well it's only been about 3 years since the outbreak started.

Makes it look like attempted team kill

I used to love The Walking Dead but for the last couple of seasons the series has been getting seriously dull for me such that I no longer care for any of the characters or who lives or dies. Season 7 has to be the worst to date IMO with anything featuring Negan in particular being an absolute bore once the initial shock of what he did in the season opener wore off. The trouble with his character is he is so one-note and predictable that every one of his scene feels exactly like the others. He is a more brutal version of the Governor but at least that character had some depth beyond just being a nasty piece of work.

And if the Saviours are so evil and nasty then why doesn't everyone just pack up and leave? I can understand wanting to make a home but if it is threatened by a group that you cannot beat (or are struggling to beat) then the logical conclusion would surely be to get the hell out of Dodge, right? Of course, they stay and fight for dramatic reasons but this season has just compromised of mostly dull uneventful episodes, mostly of people sat around talking. Even the finale only had action in the last 15 minutes otherwise it was business as usual.

I might be alone here but I feel the series has run its course.

As a group, they are perhaps the hardest to accept in this post apocalyptic world. It would decades for people to regress like that so unless they were around before the outbreak then it seems unlikely that they would happen within the 5 or 6 year time frame of the show (I'm going by Carl here as he has clearly grown from a teenage boy into a young man such that clearly more than three years has passed IMO).
