In the gun fight though I think the bad guys were the major offenders with them seemingly unable to hit anyone except token.

Well, they are normal folk who stay in safety and use bows or axes instead. During a panic, at night, can let it slide. The good guys did get a few kills and lost their token.

Like Michonne casually mentioning having lived 8 months with this Andrea chick...
About the gunfights, it did occur to me that maybe they weren't going for killshots...Apart from Rick who among them has killed one of the living?
OK, Carl and Hershel's daughter in self-defense...anyone else?
Maybe they were just trying to get out without needlessly killing anyone...AcidSnake - He can't see your sig, avatar, images or vids and talks about himself in the third person because he's proper old-skool...UID 24017

I'm going to put an early shout out there, perfect person to take over for season 4 :
Vince. Gilligan.
Go on. Try to pick someone better...."Look at banner Michael!"

Jesus, are people that stupid that they'd just follow the general opinion whilst clearly not knowing who Darabont is?Get bent.

Having watched Breaking Bad and Gilligan's X Files episodes, I really don't think the style is the same at all.

Just because Breaking Bad is awesome, it doesn't automatically mean that Gilligan would suit Walking Dead at all.
Walking Dead has more of a Lost vibe to it.

Eh?
Mazzara came from writing The Shield and Nash Bridges (Nash fucking Bridges!), so your theory is totally off.
Gilligan will be finishing on Breaking Bad soon, he knows how to create memorable characters and develop them. Plus - he knows how to shock the fuck out of you from time to time.
Perfect candidate IMO.

Registered 8 years agoVery nice cliffhanger and a definite improvement over the two previous seasons; though dialogue and character development still aren't great.
Bit surprised that with the ratings it has been getting they don't have the budget to get some decent actors in, The Governor and Michonne really aren't very good. -

Michonne less so, but that's to do with the role they've given her (script) than the actress, -

Had a hunt around to see when this is back on FX/Fox, but could only find 'February'. Anyone know a proper date/time? -

Registered 4 years agoMy first time in this thread (only just caught up with the rest of you). I am really enjoying this. As a huge fan of the comics, I am pretty pleased.
Some of the differences between the comics and show are quite jarring, but I actually prefer it this way for the most part (not sure why they turned the governor into a pretty boy amongst other things) as it isn't predictable for me.
I was so glad to see Tyrese make an appearance.
Roll on February! -

Yeah, a pity that we won't see that scene from the comics with Michonne and the governor (proper torture scene).The-Bodybuilder wrote:
That's not a lot really though. Why splinter off from the group just for that. I'm not going into it as its not the comic thread but in that story she had a LOT more invested in doing bad things to him. TV show Michonne is very stupid.
@Scurrminator Didn't do much to her? You mean other than send his henchmen to kill her?
Fantastic episode. And the 2nd half is looking just as epic.
Oh, and the way Lori dies in the comics. Although I'm not suprised that they didn't do it that way. (A bit too rough perhaps, and they wanted the baby to survive it seems.

@ZizouFC Best not to mention that sort of stuff, even spoiler-tagged. I speak from experience.
Anyway, I just finished watching the last one. I agree that so many problems could be resolved just by having characters bloody talk to each other, rather than just staring and pointing guns at each other. There are some communication problems here!
Andrea is still stupid. Even moreso if she stays with the Governor now. And Michionne... well, her actions don't always make a lot of sense in the TV show.
Anyway, it was still a cracking half-season, and am very much looking forward to the next in a couple of days time! Especially now that motherfucking Tyreese is around now. \o/ -
