Girls are too busy being hypnotized by my cock when I walk past them to be thinking about my music.

Spotify is a great service anyway, shame you can't use the app with adverts instead mind.

It might happen yet if they don't get enough subscribers.

I'd imagine the appstore numbers will initially be distorted by the number of customers who don't realise that you have to be a premium member to use it. Over time Spotify might realise they need to put out an ad-based free service on the mobile.

I use spotify for the majority of my music need these days, it's just easier to stream the track instead of pirating/buying stuff.

With the app i'll potentially never have to bother downloading tracks ever again.

Tenner a month is fine, considering napster take the piss by forcing you to download the actual tracks, only to lock them.

Now MrEd Owen-B or whoever/whatever you are, please dont call me a c*** for no apparent reason. Thanks
There was a reason: deem thinks you a cock. I was playing to my audience. Read the disclaimer. I take no responsibility for my words.

According to the comments section of the Spotify blog, you can have up to 3333 songs cached to the iPhone.

    Isn't that a bonkers amount?
I could have around 300 albums downloaded to my phone to listen to without having to stream a thing for 10 a month.

Doesn't seem too bad to me.

I just know that my usage is such that in the time I do have to listen to the iPod on my phone, I'm happy with what I've got, and have Spotify to listen to whatever else I like at home.

I take your point though, that's a pretty good deal. No matter how good the deal, though, I still balk a little at not actually owning anything at the end of the day.

So pay 9.99 a month and get up to 3,333 songs free, downloaded on your iPhone?

No, playing to an audience = telling jokes, shit or otherwise, that have relevance to that audience. If you want to slag off the gag, by all means, but don't do a 'funny' internet hardman X = Y that doesn't actually make sense. :)

The line you're blurring there is one of owning and caching temporarily.

    Preview on youtube.
    Looks pretty damned good actually.
    -Streaming over all connections
-Syncing any playlist to your phone to play without a connection
-Syncing between your spotify account and the app of any updates to playlist etc.

I'm a bit tempted even though I don't actually ever listen to anything but podcasts.

Anyone actually a Premium subscriber at the moment, out of interest?

I hate to think how much of a bumming this would give your battery life.

Why not download Last.fm and see? I imagine the performance would be very similar.

It was kind of a rhetorical question. streaming music over 3G for any amount of time would give it a severe bumming.

Premium users only? That's a shame. Spotify is the best thing to happen to music since Napster.

Hmmm, the fact it can store 3333 tunes in cached playlists is rather bloody smart. Only thing that will probably stop me getting this is I tend to listen to old music, not new, most of the time, and so have most of the music I want already.
