    Over the last couple of days over both radio and TV I've noticed a lot of people dropping this syllable. Competition became compitish. Version became versh.

    I mourn for it, and hate those that do this.

    I've never heard those examples. I think I know what you mean though. I hate the oh-so-trendy-matey abbreviash of words that simply don't warrant it.
