I found this news report disturbing. It's got to be fake, right?

to long to watch but what i did see left me confused.

do they mean to fire first on Americans who don't relinquish their arms or only if shot at?

Next News Network has about as much credibility as Fox. The guy who runs it is a conspiracy nut who believes 9/11 was an inside job by the NWO that secretly controls America. Check your sources, maybe.

I wonder if fighting wars helps or not. It must create a lot of jobs etc. but does cost a fortune. Maybe pull back on the military and sort things back home for a while.

Sarah Palin's latest and definitely most impassioned speech, lays the smackdown on calculated and rehearsed speeches - while giving her most calculated and rehearsed speech yet on a wide range of things.

I think someone is trying to get back into the fight...

Yes that is a big gulp in her hand.

I always wondered why such a big deal has been made about the teleprompter. As if Obama is the first president ever to use one.

Anyway, a speech at CPAC doesn't really count as a comeback. It's a carnival of idiots, and less people pay attention to it every year.

she's against rehearsing now? is that a big issue "state-side"?
  • Deleted user 18 March 2013 00:58:04
It's not. The right wingers current tactics are to make Obama out to be an incompetent dictator (which is sort of contradictory in itself, but there we go). One article I read last week claimed Obama thought he was royalty because he declined a random unexpected meal as his taster wasn't about. This is, of course, ignoring the fact that virtually every President has had tasters and food preparation teams, including Dubya (who even brought one to Buck House, because food prepared for the Queen would surely be lethal) and Reagan.

As long as she's around shell be taking the nutter votes away from the right. And there's a lot of them.

As amusing as it is to have falin palin around, it's also not amusing. The problems facing America are too important to be pushed aside by a drama queen and her ever-dwindling band of sycophants.

I wonder when the GOP will fix itself. It needs to, because Obama is very far from perfect. He needs a credible opposition, not the current troop of village idiots.

I feel like this guy would use an IED and not a musket if that was the only firearm he had access to.

    Wow.
That's the logic for many Americans. The idea is that if you're going to kill someone, you would kill someone regardless of the weapon available.

Fucking tea party and GOP fighting for supremacy of who is the most retarded. It all comes down to campaign financing. Sane Repubs are afraid of being challenged by well backed TP candidates in a primary. So they go batshit, like the TP.

A lot of outright lies and hysteria. It's getting kinda scary. There's a breakdown in democracy, worse than what has come before. Monied interest appear intent on destroying the system from within

IIRC, the NRA donate a hell of a lot of money to the Republicans. They have nothing to gain from any tightening of arms control.

    So probably a lobbying issue.

    Democracy at work, people.

The GOPs general battleplan seems to be "rather than being a better party, we'll do everything in our power to fuck up the Dems so we'll seem better next election". It's just insane. These people are supposed to be helping the country out as a whole, not fucking it up even more to grab power (and by association, money).

The scary thing is, it seems to be working.

Been speaking to a lot of americans over the last week, and they have almost all been of the "you will take my assault rifle out of my cold dead hands" ilk.

Someone even said "yeah, your gun ban in the uk really worked didn't it? Now you have a problem with drive-by stabbings"

How a fucking drive by stabbing works I don't know, not to mention how people seem to think a close-quarters weapon is somehow more potentially harmful than a fucking assault rifle.
