Congrats to Obama! Congrats to all who voted for him. I wish you all well, you will need it. Congrats to Russia, China, Iran and Iraq. We once were a great nation and now we will fall. Congrats to all illegals and to all you wonderful crack heads! I will be going down to claim my free shit and my obama phone. Tonight I will cry for those murdered americans. When this great country falls I hope all the Obama lovers take responsibility because we already know Obama wont. Good night everyone, It will be our last. The Anti Christ has won.
A nice level-headed response to Obama being in power on Facebook.

Well the USA does allow contraception, so I don't get that part. Also, the first openly gay senator was elected yesterday: Tammy Baldwin of Wisconsin. Interestingly, California voted against abolishing the death penalty. For all the talk of how progressive California is supposed to be compared to other states, it does not seem to actually live up to it. Michigan banned the death penalty in 1846.

Contraception as part of Obamacare. Lots of companies are refusing to adjust employee's healthcare provisions, claiming it's a 1st Amendment violation. And the pro-choice part should be self-explanatory.

There's an audio clip of a woman reacting to Obama's re-election that's been going around the web. Here's an 'improved' version. NSFW language

I know. I couldn't listen to a minute of her rant beforehand, but now I just listened to the whole thing in one go. Found in rather soothing, actually.

The internet has been such a boon for allowing mentalists to have their voice heard. No longer are they restricted to passing on their message to people within shouting distance.

It's great. I have a list of idiots i can happily ignore. One thing i haven't bothered doing is logging into facebook to see if any of my mates are nutters too. Doubt any of them care enough about the US Presidency to care though.

I preferred the old days when I could pretend these crazy fuckers didn't exist... or that there were just a handful of them out there.

Did you see last night's Daily Show? Definitely worth watching if you haven't. Fox News makes his job easy, and I'm grateful for that at least. :D

You're reading into it too much, I wasn't making that implication and I have no idea if that implication is true, I just believed it was an interesting statistic.
Okay, maybe I did - my apologies. However, since the only voter trait you used was race (not age, gender, income, education, etc.) it is reasonable to assume that you are making a point along racial lines. That being said, I believe you when you say you meant otherwise...

    Sorry if I sounded harsh.

That's not entirely accurate. A relatively small number of health plans being offered by institutions with certain religious affiliations (schools, hospitals, etc.) Were resisting. They are no longer able to do that, I believe.

It was companies as well. A chain of hobby stores here refused to and are currently in the process of suing the government over it.

And they either wrote and recorded that extremely quickly or they made two episodes.

I think they did only one episode, but animated most of it until the night before. Watching it, you could look at the way that it was edited so more of the shots could be interchangeable. Also, it seems that Trey Parker's voice for Obama could have easily been put in as a voice for Romney (it's not like he tries hard to impersonate them). Just replace Obama's head with Romney's.

It's just speculative, though. I remember them doing two episodes for the 2008 election, so I could be entirely wrong.

    Anyway, some more tidbits:

A cat comes third in Virginia senate race.

Romney's team legitimately thought they had no way of losing.

And something that I considered putting in TT's nuggets of joy thread, but decided to post here, Obama tearing up as he thanks his team:
