    Really happy for Clarke.

I'm getting really fucked off with people interviewing champions straight after their win and asking them really personal, emotional questions.

So distasteful. That's the third one I've seen this year.

Rickie Fowler might wear special hats, but the kid sure is going places. Really impressed with him throughout - seen a lot of young players chase the game, but he's confident enough to let his driving and irons do the talking.

Fowler's round yesterday was pretty special, that's for sure.

Awesome, awesome, awesome. Huge amount of time for Clarke, felt a little choked I have to say.

He was very composed; I was walking across the sands there last week and it was such a serene place. Sod that weather, though!

I was there yesterday when it was much less serene and can confirm that, yes, sod that weather!

Quite fitting that rubbishdg would go on the day of rubbishweather.

I... have no comeback to that. :(

Quite easily the wettest I've ever been whilst walking I have to say. In retrospect the guys there with the shorts probably had the right idea - soaked trousers (even water-resistant ones) aren't fun whatsoever.

Still, it was interesting going for the day (I've not seen golf live before) - in some ways you don't get much of an idea of what's going on in the grand scheme of things. But whilst you get less of a feel for the players, it's definitely interesting to get a sense of the course itself.

Right, I've followed on with Ricky Fowler and backed him for a top 5 finish at 10s. Also a small punt on Dustin Johnson top 5 (13s), and a sentimental (course influenced) punt on Lehman to be in the top 10 (23s). Finally I've laid Darren Clarke for making the cup - imagine he'll have been getting a few freebies at the bar most evenings...

    Who's everyone else on?

Might be tempted with Harrington if the odds are ok.
  • Deleted user 18 July 2012 21:13:31
took zach johnson at 66s. straight hitter, won twice recently, and had a few second places. on form

sentimental bet on sergio at 33s

You know, Golf coverage will never be the same when we lose Peter Alliss. I hope it's not for a long time yet.

I was sat in the grandstand on the 18 when Tiger holed out from the bunker yesterday and it was like being at a football match. Tiger has an aura around him that ensures he's the main event - incredible.

Anyway, loved it. Back there on Sunday and might walk the course with the final group or park myself on the 18th grandstand... not sure. Walking the course is loads of fun but you get a much better view from a static position. First world problems personified. Can't wait.

Dan's closing montage yesterday was embarrassing. Love Faldo, dishes out the truth and knows no one can argue given he found the Arc of the Covenant.
