Can't believe there wasn't a thread for this.

Tiger looks like he's on the way out, Tom Watson just tied the lead aged 59!

Watching both the test match and the Open at the moment, what a treat :)

Indeed. Its gonna be a hard day today! *cracks open another beer.

I would be amazed if Watson manages to maintain his position until the end but it would be a fantastic story

Should be a good day's sport watching today, flicking between that and The Ashes

I'm tempted to try and set up two TVs next to each other today...
  • Deleted user 18 July 2009 10:53:17
I thought about that too but decided on TV = golf and laptop (Sky player) = cricket combo.

Nice start for Fisher - drained a monster on the first, chipped in on the second, birdie-birdie and two shots clear!

You just know he's going to get "that" call any moment now....

Is it wrong I want Watson to win it more than Westwood?

Actually if there was a Welsh contender up there, I'd be supporting him, but in the mean time, come on Tom!

Before the Open started I told my mate I was going to back Goosen and Westwood each way, but then my bank cancelled my card due to a random precautionary fraud check, so I couldn't add any cash to my account... bloody typical!

That's unbelievable, Westwood 1mm from an eagle. Could go to a play-off this, although Tom has a chance now on the par 5.

Yeh, I'm a bit under the weather at the mo and have pretty much watched every televised stroke of this. Really hope Watson can do it...

...In fact I'm almost glad I've been ill, would've missed it otherwise.

Nailed on. A four on the last should do it, with Westwood in the bunker...

Yeah, awesome, what a pig of a bunker, I'd have taken about 3 to get out!
  • Deleted user 19 July 2009 18:14:36
In any other situation I'd be behind Westwood, but gotta go for Tom. Would be an immense sporting acheivement. I think he's something like 1574th in the world at the moment, and had odds of over 1500-1 if I remember rightly...

    Fine tee shot.

Eek. Wonder if Lee is regretting his bold putt now?!
