    Hello.

Fifa 10 is looking quite nice.

Full 360 movement, huge improvements with passing (short hard passes, and cross-field balls that are hit with real pace now), 'proper' manager mode - with rainy midweek night games etc, full practice mode, and most interestingly a set-piece creator.

It sounds really, really good. Pretty much every complaint I have with FIFA 09 has been fixed, and that was a fantastic game anyway.

I think this year I'm going the way of FIFA and leaving my PES days behind. Haven't bought a FIFA since 2000 with big Sol Campbell on the front (I think) but its looking great, and I'm not confident PES will ever recover. Almost bought 09 last year but went with PES. Mistake.

There's always be a weak spot in any football (or sport) game which some people feel they need to exploit to get a win. It's just a sad fact of like that there's people like that out there!

The ability to play as a team online with people you know definitely helps to sometimes control the rage though :)

I might sell 09 now and just wait it out for 10. But I'm worried they will fuck it up as I honestly consider 09 to be perfect.

Nope I fucking hate football. I've just always loved football games, grew up with Pes and Fifa (1996 ftw) and judge them by how well they play. It just so happens that Fifa 09 controlled absolutely fucking perfectly.

FIFA09 plays fairly well but it's no ISS pro 2.

Even Edge did a massive article on FIFA 10. I'm sure there will be demos of both and I will see how they play. I think FIFA 10 will be a defo purchase for me. The PES demo will really have to impress for me to buy.

The Resident Evil films. I'm one of the reasons they keep making them.

Played every FIFA since 95 on the original Game Boy and even had most of the cash-in international tournament ones too. Don't care how great PES is. I refuse to even watch anyone playing it.

I reckon 10 will launch with niggles, 11 will refine... as it was from 08 -> 09.

So what is this 360 degree movement? How is it different to the present ability to move in 360 degrees with an analogue stick?

The present analogue controls aren't analogue. You can only travel in eight directions which I have to say has really pissed me off in the past.

Choosing the number of players per team in training mode sounds quite nice - so you can have as many team members as you have people playing. 6 a-side could be quite good.

New vid featuring some gameplay here

Where'd you get that? 6 a side would be fucking great.

Blimey, sounds like they're going balls-out on manager mode this year too thank fuck.

Love the sound of squad rotation/selection by the CPU teams based on match importance. Bigger clubs playing their youngsters in domestic cup games etc.

That sort of attention to detail is the sort of thing I used to dream about when I was a little fucker.
