Despite everything, Torres scoring still makes me smile.

Bloody hell, Marveaux to Cisse at the death, again. Great ball in.

I really hope the English teams don't draw each other just yet. For Newcastle this is probably the last time we'll be in Europe for a while so I want to enjoy the novelty of playing continental teams a little longer!

Anyone of the foreign teams barring Benfica I'd be happy with.

Didn't Spurs beat them easily enough last year in the same competition?

Another great result for us, we really are hitting a bit of momentum now and i can only speculate as to how much TWO stoppage-time winners has lifted the morale and belief, not only for Cissť but for the whole club.

We weren't at our best last night but we still managed to win, which is the sign of a good side. Another clean sheet too, Steven Taylor in particular being absolutely phenomenal last night - if he doesnt get in the England squad soon then something is very wrong.

The only major downside to last night being the loss of Cabaye, i really hope he was only taken off as a precaution as he is so important to us at the moment - with a bit of luck, maybe he'll only miss the Wigan game.

The magic is back, Cissť is getting goals again, the defence is solid despite Colo being out.....things are looking up!. The only problem we've got is that Wigan have reached that stage in the season where they suddenly become the best team in the league.

Hopefully we can take at least a point on Sunday.....

I tuned into the Inter game when Spurs were 2-0 down, started laughing at 3-0 then saw that Falacio bloke with his one weird little strand of hair and wanted Spurs to win. Its an atrocity.

Chelsea game was decent, Stauea were energentic and put us under a lot of pressure at first but Hazard and Mata were in a different class. Torres showed a rare bit of fight at the end which was nice to see, shame he fucked up the penalty but its an improvement.

I genuinely thought he missed a bit. Then I learnt it's now considered "fashion". I've obviously been living under a rock.
