Apparently they are making a movie of the show. That should be sexy and to be honest im quite looking foward to It. I hope they have lots of Phoebe Quotes, has to be one of the funniest sitcom characters!

    is this a wind up?

Friends movie has been rumoured since the show ended. It's one of these things that will probably never actually happen, but always stays floating around thanks to idiot fans who have nothing better to do.

Judging by the last line of the OP it has to be a wind up, or mr.potatoegg is actually a braindead woman who identifies with the worst thing about Friends.

I'll never get my Orc looking the same again.

This rumour has been going since the series ended and it's been constantly denied. The cast have (mostly) all moved on to other things.

I do watch it. It has it's moments, though to be honest some of the characters became really lame after getting married. David Schwimmer is a God. But an hour and a half?

    ULTIMATE FIREBALL!

Yeah there are some really funny moments, it's a guilty pleasure. Guaranteed though that the funniest bits will be in the 2nd, minor part of the story. Gremmi what's that called? Shakespeare uses it, where you have a secondary unimportant story. There's a name for it

If they were going to make a film they should have done it ten years ago before the young cast ended up looking like they belonged in the Golden Girls.

that phoebe line on the OP just reminds me of that add for the Bruno movie 'that is such a samantha thing to say'

edit: for the record..i don't actually mind it :)
it's just i can see how bad this is going to turn out

Mr.potatoegg is schizo. First looking forward to it and six minutes latter isn't and doesn't want it.
  • Deleted user 25 June 2009 17:33:28
It does have its moments, but it's been endlessly repeated so many times that a lot of the episodes have stopped being funny and are only worth rewatching to see if Jennifer Aniston gets any pokeys

    Like old age.

I know this is a bit ironic coming from me but the last few series were a joke, Phoebe trying to be all ditzy and nubile when she was clearly made of leather.

I think they usually - in TV terms - call it "the B-story."

I'm a big fan of Friends, but the idea of having "lots of Phoebe" quotes does not appeal to me at all. By far the worst character IMO.

As long as it was based around Chandler and Ross (easily the best/funniest two characters) then I'd watch it. If it was about Joey being retarded and Phoebe being "a free spirit" I'd give it a miss.

To be honest, the more their careers decline, the more likely this becomes. Anniston is still getting the odd romcom role, but other than that I think they’re more or less at the point now where this is something they’d consider. I can see it happening.

David Schwimmer is practically the only one who made something of himself afterwards, wasn't he?
