    The most important thing is not to go on too long. 5-10 mins tops. No-one wants to sit there while someone the majority of people don't know (maybe?)waffles on. Done 2 best man speeches....one was excrutiatingly bad (but then again I barely knew the guy) and one was a great honour. No idea whether it was any good, but people did laugh...perhaps more in pity!

    As Pike said....people will virtually always laugh, so don't worry to much...just enjoy it!

    flows like a harpoon daily and nightly.
    Will it ever STOP

    Hammertime!

    Can't touch this.

    A friends best man did a classic. He announced in his speech that as the bride was now married and spoken for would anyone there who had a key to her house please put them in a basket that was placed on the top table. Every man not related to the bride had previously been given a key and in unison they all got up and handed them in.

    Heh, it's not a bad one that, but (and please don't take offense) it seems to have been done quite a few times.

    I'm going to have to settle for making a total arse out of myself with this Judge things. Please you lot, cross anything crossable for me.

    8 years after giving his best man speech, the horror of what Mike Hunt said out loud, to a banquet hall full of guests, still resonates to this very day. He never quite got over it, and in 2007, Mike took his own vows - never to speak again.

    "It's been really hard," he wrote, "but that terrible best man speech just ruined my life. I don't have many friends, and I never smelled that great to begin with."

    He pauses, staring wistfully into the distance, his pencil trembling in his little chicken fingers.
    "I often wonder," he slowly scratches into the cheap Tesco paper, his eyes filling with memories, "I often wonder if a professional website had been there for me back then. Things might have been different."

    There is.

    Now THAT'S how to handle a spammer.

    If you can read this you really need to fiddle with your forum settings.

    I'm skeptical how much help a flowers website would be for a speech. Especially one with a stutter.

    It went really well. Standing ovation, whooping, hollering, the whole works.

    The happy couple are now divorced mind.

    My best man made a joke about prostitutes that went completely over 95% of the guests' heads, thankfully.

    What kind of court though? You have many choices and each would need a different approach:
    King's Court;
    Magistrates;
    Supreme/High Court;
    Military.
    These are but a few - but for a wedding I'd say the King's Court would be the most appropriate. In terms of speech ideas though - I'm not getting involved. ADHD makes for embarassing ideas hahaha.

    If God said “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you,” to Mary - does that mean he loves bukkake?
