While you are doing something with the comment section could you add a quote system like we have in the forums?
  • Deleted user 11 June 2009 11:41:28
Good idea, my only problem is that I love reading the troll comments, they make me smile :)

    +1 million

Still forcing us to use italic coding manually to 'quote' other commenters. For shame EG, for shame :/

I wouldn't have minded seeing this in action on the main forum just to see what happens.

This system seems open to abuse by creating socks and +1 your own posts.

I doubt people are sad enough to do that.

EG only has about three regs anyway. Everyone else is just their sock accounts.

    I'm Razz, Gremmi and ecosse.

I'm Pro_gamer, though I only wheel him out when I want to appear incredibly intellectual, stating nice, clear, unbiased facts.

I can +1 myself . I'd get that seen to, otherwise people that post a lot will balance themselves out, even if trolling.

The ignore yourself link has disappeared, but you can still ignore and ban yourself if you just exchange the user id from another link. Not sure why anyone would do that, but anyway.

I approve this feature. Very noice. Should make wading through 1000 page comment threads more managable.

I think it might have already been said, but if I minus someone, I'd rather there comment didn't disappear. Heck, I'd also like an infinite minus threshold too - I don't particularly like the comments disappearing, but I do like shunning people. It pleases me greatly and is far too addictive.

OK, I've made a few tweaks, and you can no longer give your own posts a score.

When you neg someone but in a fit of guilt rethink your decision, can you give them *not* a neg rather than a positive?

    okthxbye

I've also added some more threshold options, including a "No threshold" choice.

Still burying comments when you negative someone despite having No Threshold set.

Yep, still hiding them here too.
The bottom comment is still overlapping the layout for me as well.

Does also work to +/- your own comments.

Cool, like the threshold implementation too. Not sure if this has been mentioned, but you can still score comments that you can't read.

    Bug, or feature?
    /Spins wheel

Nice to see the direct linked comments being implemented too, good job :D

Could we have a negative karma Top of the Pops at the end of the beta craigy? Please? :-)

CAn you monitor how many people will choose to use the "no threshold" choice? I like being proved right you see!;)

The beta pages don't work for me on any browser under Win 7.

    No idea why.
