^ Different type of game though as Dishonoured allows you the freedom to approach these open levels to your leisure, whereas Revengeance, if it's like other games of it's genre, keeps you on a set path throughout.
The length wouldn't bother me if it's fun to play and enough there to keep me interested, like multiple difficulty levels, challenge rooms etc. Same with Vanquish. -

Registered 8 years agoI'm just starting chapter 3 of what looks to be 8. It's taken 2 hrs to get here and that's with watching the cutscenes. The chapter I just finished (the demo one but massively extended) is pretty darn lengthy, but then there's an achievement for finishing one of the upcoming levels in 7 minutes.
Baring in mind I'm doing it on easy and am pretty much legging it through the levels, it'll probably be done in 5-6 hrs. But chucking it on a harder difficulty and taking time looking for the collectables, its gonna be a fair amount longer.
Ohh and it's pretty great so far. The combat's not as deep as DMC, but still very enjoyable, and some of the cutscenes and boss fights are as mental as you'd expect them to be. -

Registered 5 years agoQuite a mixed bunch of reviews. Some great ones like EGs, some mediocre 7s and a couple of really low scores. It must be a game that doesn't appeal to everyone but I think I am more excited by it now then I was before

Registered 8 years agoSo going by the Face Off, the PS3 version looks better but the Xbox version has a marginally higher framerate. Not sure if they're even doing a PC version. -

I really quite enjoyed Vanquish and really liked Bayonetta. I'm just coming off the back of finishing DmC so I'm not sure if I'm better off leaving it a while until I play this or jumping straight in. It sounds brilliant tbh. I really like the sound of the fighting/parrying system.
I'll play the demo perhaps. -

Registered 6 years agousually I wouldn't condone it but it's hardly going to ruin the game in this instance.
1. It's a Metal Gear Game so automatically the story and everything about it is utter bollocks.
2. It's made by Platinum so substitute Platinum for Metal Gear in point 1 and Repeat. -
