you have to tip the blocks into one of the buckets that appear at the sides, otherwise you don't get any points
    That might help!
I've added my dimensions to the profile, hopefully it might give me some more encouraging calorie figures.

Are there any cheap Kinects going at the moment? My girlfriend played on one and she actually likes it. It'l be short lived but this is the first gaming related thing she has liked since Street Fighter.

98 for Kinect (includes Kinect Adventures) or 108 for Kinect with Dance Central or Kinect Sports.

I just did the 'Crush It' bootcamp workout on Your Shape...

    Yup, that'll do it.

The back into shape ones are pretty good too (though you have to buy them).

    Happy Action Theatre is awesome.

Just put it on while my daughter was having her after school snack, hoping I could grab her attention for a game or two. Snack was promptly abandoned and she was playing with it until dinner, two hours later.

They really seem to get that young children (mine is 5) aren't interested in high scores or traditional "gameplay". It's all about doing silly, fun things like drowning in a pool of lava or seeing how long they can be an ice statue without moving and shattering. Sod all the serious games, that is proper emergent gameplay.

I heard my wife go ballistic at my boys (7 and 3), as in an attempt to avoid the rising lava, they climbed up shelving till they were touching the ceiling. My fault, obviously!

So, anyone tried Pixar's Rush yet? Was surprised to see this in Morrison's today - I thought it was some time off. Was worried at a lack of high profle reviews but having found the first few via googling it looks to have turned out quite decently. Pencilled in as a nice joint Easter pressie for the kids (beats them being inundated with chocolate).

I bought happy action theatre just to see what the fuss was about. Genius. Watching pigeons mince about all over my sofas, and chasing balloons around the room like a pest. I honestly think people of most ages would like it, just for that 'fuck me that 's really clever' moment.

For anyone with young kids it's mandatory, but if you have some spare points and want a giggle it's still worth a punt.

Could that fucking han solo dancing video be any more rage-inducing? What an enormous crock of shit. In other news, I've just surprisingly enjoyed that 'kung fu' demo on live. Jump and bend to somersault!

Tim Bisley was ahead of his time when he destroyed all his Star Wars stuff.

    This space left intentionally blank.

Ugh. My daughter got the Disneyland game for her birthday and it is a broken piece of junk. It constantly loses the kids (bringing up the tuner confirms Kinect can see them, which makes it all the more odd), misreads their actions, and the rides take forever to load. Looking forwards to my son's birthday in a fortnight, when he get Kinectimals (with bears) and Star Wars (not my pick but he really really wanted it).

I was playing the Pod Racing section on Star Wars Kinect last night and, gulp, had a lot of fun with it.

Very odd, I've only really heard good things about it.

I've had the same problems with the Disneyland game.

The only Kinect games that seem intuitive and accurate enough for children are HAT and Fruit Ninja. Even the sports games need me to set them up occasionally and even then the calibration often isn't clever enough to recognise a smaller player once I have moved out of sight.
