    well it better work on coloured people. the eye toy didnt ever pick up my hand motions when i was at my mates house because there wasnt enough contrast between me (brown) and the wall.
    Could you try not playing against a brown wall? ;-)

    In all honesty, I had trouble with the eye toy recognising movements, and I'm the whitest guy ever.

    EVER.

    I totally called it.

    I would love a good football game on it. Its going to be tough without the actual physical interaction with the ball and running, but we'll see what they do.

    It was funny when they talked about cricket and football streaming to a bunch of American nerds.

    Why not play football IRL instead?

    For what it's worth... the camera is IR based. It bounces beams of infra red off you to detect where you are, so it shouldn't matter if you're black, white, pink, yellow or orange.

    Just slap on a 'doesn't work for the disabled' warning and you're good.

    Being IR based could it be then prone to the same sunlight problems as the Wii sensor bar? Or is that just the sensor bar being naff and only emitting a weak light?

    Why don't we just slate it now and get it out the way?

    @THFourteen

    I was thinking the same thing earlier. Then again, at least Nintendo has taken gaming to new places. Having been playing games for the last 20 years, everything is starting to look the same. Nintendo has changed that, perhaps not for the better for now, but it will be.

    Looks like impressive tech but why do I get the feeling it was green-lighted by people that only play games in specially designed presentation rooms?

    I don't want to have to push the sofa out of the room to play a game; I have enough trouble finding enough space to play Wii bowling ffs.

    Considering the controlled demo of the avatar posing couldn't even handle the guy's movement properly, I have my doubts about how well a fighting game will work. Or how well anything beyond the current Eye Toy crap will go down. Although transparently putting the voice and facial recognition stuff into regular joypad controlled games might be nice.
