Is it normal that my post arrives at a different time everyday. Yesterday at 1pm today i am still waiting.. :( :( :( Takes longer when it rains....

    Between midday and 1pm.

But I do live in a village a few miles from Dorchester, so I can't really complain.

Mine usually delivers sometime between midday - 2pm.

Unless its a parcel and then it'll be when I nipped down the shops or when i'm on the toilet.
  • Deleted user 27 May 2009 12:28:47

Um... it's not 1pm yet. So if he delivers at 1pm today, it'll be the same time as yesterday.

Fucking late, much later than it used to be, and we only get mail three days out of six. In deluges. If I was a cynic...

Between 1 and 2:30. Which is alright as I can get half days off when order stuff and get home in time.

VERY LATE - Can you tell I am sat here waiting for it right NOW.

Coincidentally, it arrived whilst I was in the middle of typing this - so in answer to your question it arrives at approx. 12:36pm

    Sometimes as late as 4.30pm.

My postman doesn't bring packages anyway. Apparently it's policy not to carry anything that won't fit through a letter box.

A friend of mine who works at a mail sorting house claims that one big reason the Royal Mail have become shit over the past few years is health and safety.

A post man is allowed to refuse to carry over a certain weight/number of letters in any one round and no one can do anything about it if they do refuse, which is turn effects the days and times that post is delivered to our homes.

The whole system seems to be twatted up really.

Bloody hell. I was feeling very sorry for myself for the fact that I have to wait until 11:30-12. But I guess I'm one of the lucky ones :/

10.30 to my house, 12.30 to my business unit. Which sucks.

when I was a lass I'm sure the post came before 9 every day

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.

I am sure I remember first post being before 9am and second being before midday when I was a lad (70s/80s).

If first post hadn't come by midday people would be kicking up a big fuss and posties would be getting the chop if they didn't have a good excuse.

i don't get my mail until about 11 am and the latest it has been delivered must have been 3 pm, but recently the timing has been pretty much the same i.e. 12 pm. good thing about my postie is he is one of the nicest guys around and sometime will drop it off round the back if i'm not in.

Judging by the last important delivery via royal mail, about 6 months.

Anytime between 8.30am & 2pm. He also never gets me to sign for any recorded deliveries, just launches them straight through the letterbox.

Our mail arrived at 4pm one day last week. The guy looked like he'd either just rolled out of bed or was about to collapse from heart failure.

Our mail seems to be any time from 10.30am to 3pm. It's very annoying.
